CNU had a nice first 6 minutes. SU on a run. CNU, too many TO.

CNU had a nice first 6 minutes. SU on a run. CNU, too many TO. The Captains look scared to go down the middle. 10-5.

Yeah, uh, feeling pretty good about questioning just about everything that goes on in the broadcast booth. It’s the national semifinals. It should not feel like a bunch of parents are working the game.

Game-related: Montemorano is dominating faceoffs, and that is huge for RIT. Hare didn’t have a good thirty minutes, but he didn’t need to: every time Tufts jumped out in front, RIT was able to control possession and respond with a run of their own. That kept them in the game in the first half and could be a huge issue in the second. I think the bigger issue is the turnovers: Tufts has been absurdly careless with the ball today. Throwing passes away, firing into traffic, etc. If they can’t win faceoffs, they can’t afford to be careless with the ball when they get stops on the defensive end. RIT defense has also looked good too, Tufts is having problems beating defenders off 1v1 dodges. Great signs for the Tigers, not so much for the visiting pachyderms.

Something about Salisbury that makes CNU look like a bunch of first year Lax players.

The gulls had a super easy bracket setup this year...no competition whatsoever. I think most of use could of assumed it was going to be RIT vs Tufts..tough game though to get you to the championship

That last goal ended a 14-0 run. Salisbury is just on a different level.

I guess Tufts is allowed to hit them in the throat as long as they don't hit them in the head...that was bad!

I'm sure I'll end up eating these words as well, but Tufts' only consistent source of offense right now is unsettled transition. Once RIT gets set up in 6v6 they have been very, very good; Tufts has to work incredibly hard just to get shots on cage.

The official was ten feet away. The refs in this game are there because they are good enough to tell the difference between penalties and flops.

Some salty fan sitting at home watching a webcast vs. the officials chosen to work the national semifinals

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, RIT is going to the natty y'all! What a game from the Tigers; took Tufts' best shot early and then controlled the final 35 minutes of the game. Tufts was up 9-5 at about the 5 minute mark; since that point until now (just under the 1 minute mark) it has been 13-7 RIT. Montemorano was massive, RIT D was great as well.

Edit: from a purely selfish fan standpoint, I'll say what I said (complained about) weeks ago - these are the kinds of games that should happen in the tourney! Less crap blowouts, more back and forth heavyweight fights please. What an awesome game.

I haven't seen a team out "Tufts" the Jumbos in a bit...today RIT did..RIT was very good odd man/transition, 6v6 and off the ground...RIT goalie had a great second half..Jumbos played hard until the end..FO were the difference

Five out of the last six. This should not need pointing out once, let alone twice. But you're welcome I suppose.
