Wonderful game, great effort from Rutgers, Carolina lucky to scrape by by their fingernails. That’s 2/4. Next up, Loyola. Can the Hounds block a 3rd ACC team (for my money the least likely of the 4 games but they have a lot of CT kids who I root for and that’s why they play the games).

is the acc underrated? if they get one out of 2 in the ff tomorrow, it would seem so. 3 out of 4 ff and only 5 of the 8 at larges.

they get 2 and 4/4... we might need to consider putting more acc's in the tourney.

Nope the ACC is wild only overrated and propped up by the Syracuse media. They only beat weak teams OOC

So Georgetown is a weak team?
Should probably switch the moniker to farfromsane.

That’s 3/4. As Matnum said, you get all of the jelly beans or none. Next up, MD, where I think the ACC run ends, call it 11-8 MD

Thanks. Always amazed when folks can’t even go back a page within a few hours and get some context. Not hard or time consuming.

committee has to feel very good about the bracket they put together watching the action this weekend especially given the challenges of a season in a corona atmosphere
-3/4 very strong games
-Rutgers and loyola more than validated selections
-no failed tests, cancelled games

After a quarters weekend of one slaughter and three OT games, we end up with a final four of Maryland and three from the ACC. No surprise as the top four seeds advance.

The ACC had 3 of the top 4 seeds and placed 3 teams (seeds 1,2 and 4) in the FF. It seems that they were appropriately seeded and rated. If the ACC placed only 1 or 2 teams in the FF (which could have easily happened with 2 of the 3 teams advancing in OT), then the ACC teams would have been beaten by lower seeded teams. I don't think this tourney says anything about the ACC. If anything, the conference was overrated with UNC and Duke winning in OT games that many thought would be lopsided wins and ND getting an undeserved home game.

Huh?
The only non-ACC team in the FF won in OT versus a fourth ACC team...

In my book, this is the original ACC tournament.
