What a great game. I love their offense. It’s so similar to what we’ve been running for 8 years....basketball-esk. With the weaves, flips, backside transfers, picks and slips. It won us a championship title, coupled with a stout defense, tending, and athletic attack that rides well.
Congrats to Coach Phipps, Ford and the entire team.

Wow! Could Navy Stadium be the best venue where they have ever had the championships!?

Who does Gilman hire to replace Nostrant?

Already done. Great hire - should’ve picked Incontrera last time.

Nostrant to Washington. I also thought Rick Sowell was on their staff with Incontrera, but neither are listed on the school website.
I do see a little tell on a certain persons twitter header.

The Incontrera hire was reported yesterday here: https://miaasports.net/nostrant-leaves- ... o-seasons/. Incontrera started coaching at Gilman this year. Not sure why he isn't listed on the school's website. I think Sowell was listed on the website last year but I don't think he coached at Gilman this year; he took a gig as director of the St. James' lax program a month ago.
When Nosrtant told the Gilman team a few days ago, he told them that he was going to WC but I didn't hear he was going to be the HC and assumed it was either him or Sowell. I would assume Sowell would be an assistant on Nostrant's staff if he can juggle that and the St. James gig.

Incontrera ran some fine teams at Marriott's Ridge. Like many coaches who enter the MIAA, it's a matter if they can adjust to the parental expectation and involvement in the MIAA. Will also be interesting to see if Gilman sees an uptick in players coming from Howard Co.
Let's not forget we will also be seeing a new coach at St Paul's next year too.

So, predictions for Spalding-BL? For me:
heart says a close one, regardless of who wins
head says Spalding by at least three

Re: ~~The MIAA “A” 2021~~
Incontrera is certainly one of the best "young" guys out there. If it works out, Gilman could be set for a while. But we've seen this league chew up and spit out quite a few promising coaches before.
