Nassau Section VIII
Re: Nassau Section VIII
Record set today in the MHS-GC game today:Total goals in a game---33 .Breaks the old record of 29 (2006).
Re: Nassau Section VIII
Good thing they moved to C. B would go to the Section 5 school this year.flyerfan17 wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 4:43 pmToo bad they can't have the full season experience, it's about time for another State ChampionshipJoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 2:21 pm Manhasset 15 Garden City 8 at the end of 3 Quarters.
Indians look like one of the best teams in the country. And the strength of the team is their 2022 and 2023 classes. Joey Terenzi, Class of 2022 is the REAL deal. Top 3 player in the nation for his class, headed to UVA.
Update: Manhasset 19 GC 14 Final
Cascadden from GC had success in the 2nd half at the faceoff dot, that made the final a little closer. Manhasset in control all game long, their offense is unstoppable 95% of the time.

If we need that extra push over the cliff, ya know what we do...eleven, exactly.

Manhasset sits at 764 students which is LITERALLY the upper bound of Class C for Lacrosse, so I would venture to guess they will be in B again as soon as 2022... It means that its likely to be Manhasset-Shoreham Wading River (Or Mount Sinai) in the LIC's this year for Class C. Should be a good game either way, Manhasset the clear favorite. I also think Port Washington comes out of Nassau in Class A. They look like a program clearly on the rise...flyerfan17 wrote: ↑Sun May 16, 2021 6:18 amWe will never know. Re: Nassau Section VIII
I'm almost 99% sure there will be, there wasn't one for Football ONLY due to the fact that Nassau and Suffolk had different end dates and as a result they ran out of time. I believe the Nassau and Suffolk Championships are scheduled for 6/15 or 6/16 somewhere around there. They can play all the way until the 26th, so I think it's likely there will be an LIC. Definitely no States, Field Hockey had LIC's for the season that just ended. Time is on their side for this season.flyerfan17 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 5:40 pmI thought there wasn't going to be an LIC this year. The Syosset goalie was en fuego. At least 13 saves(I counted 15). Did Chaminade play St.A's yesterday? Newsday had nothing.JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 9:23 pmSyosset 6 GC 5kr522 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 3:10 pm hey guys....what have i missed hope everyone survived the past year in good health

Pretty good balance of Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores. Mulholland (Michigan), Garcia (Marquette), Connor (Colgate), and Giaccobe (Amherst) are all senior contributors. Juniors are Terenzi (UVA), Perfetto (Cornell), and Panzik (Air Force); there's also Dawson Reilly (Bryant) who hasn't been in the box score -- injury? A bunch of sophomores have gotten time too including Gately, Peterson, Haggerty, Cargiulo, Connor, and the FOGO Girard. They are loaded for the next few years.
Re: Nassau Section VIII
Newsday did not bother to post the MHS-CSH results. Kudos to Manhasset for having the courage to post the names and destinations of Manhasset's 9 seniors on Newsday's College Commitments list.Very few Nassau H.S.s have done so.KINDA SAD.THE KIDS DESERVE BETTER....IMHO.random observer wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 1:22 pmPretty good balance of Seniors, Juniors, and Sophomores. Eager to watch Terenzi step on the field down in Charlottesville.

Spallina is a stud.Best H.S. feeder I can remember.Sees the field the way Tom Postel (Former Manhasset coach) used to.If you slow Spallina down,I don't see how Mount Sinai can stop your offense.JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 3:55 pmLooking forward to a potential Manhasset Vs Mt Sinai matchup in the LIC this year!wahoomurf wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 1:41 pmNewsday did not bother to post the MHS-CSH results.
