I think a statement from Desko or anyone in Syracuse administration is more complicated because of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, which makes Scanlan's disciplinary records -- whatever they are -- subject to a federal non-disclosure obligation.

Not much stays hidden/unspoken/undiscovered in today's world. I wouldn't bet it will be a long time before twitter, tik toc, facebook, instagram, cameraseverywheregram, TMZ, or Wendy Williams uncovers/discloses what the truth of the matter is.

Exactly; we are much more likely to hear something that way/those ways, than from Syracuse administration.

I take absolutely no pleasure in this. What I'm hearing is some really serious stuff. Goes well beyond a lacrosse rivalry.

This has shades of the Bratton twin debacle at UVA, we all know how that ended...a national championship on Memorial Day.

No facts Dr., but you've got this. Infanti is a long time Cuse boy, played on a state champion HS hoops team, played hoops at Ithaca College too. Conscientious, trustworthy.

According to sources, SU's captains have requested a meeting with John Wildhack to discuss the Chase Scanlan situation. Scanlan was reinstated yesterday after being suspended last Monday. We're told Scanlan did not practice today. Players were prepared to walk out if he did.

Players prepared to walk out doesn't make it hard to put some stock in the rumors.
Credit the rest of the team if rumors are true. Some things are much bigger than the game.

Physical altercation between Scanlan and a Syracuse student who is female. Title IX is involved I’m sure which is a good thing.

The team stands up and doesn’t want to be associated with that.

I’m impressed with the players right now.

There was a lacrosse program(s) and coach(es) that turned a blind eye to disturbing behavior and the outcome was tragic. I for one applaud the team for taking a stand if what I've heard is true, teammates are the first line in knowing what goes on off field.

A ridiculous post about a potentially serious issue.

Agree, much respect. May cost them their season but as another said some things are bigger than the game.

The Orange played last weekend as though something like "addition by subtraction" was in play. If what you are reporting about the team leaders expressing their strong thoughts about 22's return is true, correct, and justified, I'll be rooting hard for them the rest of the way!

I liked and enjoyed “that team.”
Can’t say I enjoyed the “prior team” all that much.
