How on the world do you have the ball at the end of the game, call timeout, and then have a shot clock violation?
Good defense.

combined with (PERHAPS) them being coached to look for something specific that never materialized.

Am I correct in thinking that the classes of 21,22 and 23 will be getting that 5th year. If that is the case then I’m on record that Lynchburg will be the greatest beneficiary of that ruling and will win the ODAC title each one of those years. They will continue to have a handful of 5th year seniors for the foreseeable future as well as transfers. There will be some risk to the program in recruiting freshman who realize that there will be a log jam when they arrive. I also think W&L should have an open field recruiting over the NESCAC’s Haverford and Swarthmore considering the policy choices those schools made during covid. What will the NESCAC’s decision be next season if this situation persists. I think people now know what action they will take. D1 lax isn’t growing and neither is the list of strong academic D3 schools that play the sport. W&L’s Johnson Scholarship program provides for a full academic scholarship for 10% of the incoming freshman class or about 45 students. If there was a time to grab some market share this is it😂

Class of 24 also gets an extra year.

As of October, all three Division levels have granted fall and winter sport athletes an extra year of eligibility, whether they compete in the 2020-21 season or not. The Division 3 committee took this ruling a step further and announced that 2020-21 spring sport athletes are also eligible for an extra year of eligibility. This means athletes have the flexibility to both compete freely in the 2020-21 season and return for an additional year of competition.

Well you can forget the H-SC vs. Roanoke game hapenning. H-Sc has games on Saturday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and the following Saturday, which is the last day of the regular season. And now Roanoke just had to cancel the Colorado College on Friday and the resumption of the Guilford game because of COVID.

Weird that Roanoke had to go on a short COVID pause and not play the H-SC game, four days later play Macon, and then the day after the Macon game they have to go on another COVID pause. I bet R-MC has to be thrilled about that. I'd say chances are pretty high that Roanoke played Macon with players that had COVID. The rapid tests schools are largely relying on are basically worthless during the incubation stage.

With this development if W&L win their last 3 games, LYN wins their last 2 including a win over H-Sc and H-Sc goes 3-1 with a loss to LYN. W&L would be the 1 seed as they would have played all 10 conference games to LYN and H-Sc playing only 9. If H-Sc goes 4-0 they would be the 1 seed. Am I looking at this correctly?

They have not played Virginia Wesleyan. Was postponed, LYN has space and I guess VaW could try to squeeze it in.

The ODAC will get two teams in the NCAA if Lynchburg loses a close ODAC tourney championship game. No way Lynchburg gets left out even if they get tripped up in ODACs.

I see that now on LYN schedule. Make up TBD..?

I hope your right about LYN getting. I would say they can’t lose to HSC at home then lose ODAC title though..

No way in hell they lose to HSC anywhere or anytime. Not this year. Too good. If they lost a close ODAC championship game against W&L and didn't get into the NCAAs as an AL that would be an absolute travesty.

I wouldn’t count out HSC v LYN on the 1st. Both are strong, well coached teams with the capabilities to put up big numbers if you let them get hot. But if HSC has no chance in the world I don’t see how W&L would even be considered since they have already lost to HSC this year. Maybe you’re thinking of their girls team. I hear they are pretty good.

Lynchburg lost to W&L, and frankly it was a pretty poor performance from Lynchburg.

Guilford with a disgraceful showing of running up the score against Randolph today. Up 19-1 at halftime but kept their staters in for the third to keep scoring.

H-SC unsurprisingly looked rusty in the first quarter after having a two-week layoff from games, but they started taking care of business in the second quarter.

LYN handled Colorado College tonight 23-8. Long trip for 1 game after NOKE had to cancel.
CC was up 1-0 then down 5-1 but tied it up at 6-6 early in the 2nd. LYN just to deep throughout. Defensively solid and unselfish on O. Took advantage of rebounds, swung ball fast and shot well from outside. Saw a twist on settled O. A 1-4-1 with 2 inside cutters drifting high & low. Allowed for skip pass and open wing goal. Didn't see it again, maybe against HSC. Doesn’t look like VA Wes will be re-rescheduled. LYN rests & game plans for HSC’s visit. They’re tough on Shellenburger. Announcers were talking about expected expansion of tournament and hopeful ODAC at large bid👍

HSC with a real tough week ahead. On long bus rides for Tues/Wed (days where they would get better by practicing rather than playing GUIL and Va Wes). They gotta get/stay healthy though...good seeing 15 back on the field for them. I know one of their dmids is battling an injury and their top 2 play a lot of minutes on d for them. We'll see how they fare this week...
