The question is not whether DeSantis engaged in the kinds of behaviors that Gaetz did (presumably he didn't, though others close to him may have)_, but rather whether he rejects such behaviors wholeheartedly and timely...what did he know and when did he know it and what did he do in response?

Probably the best thing in that article for DeSantis was that the reporter says that his wife "cooled" to Gaetz some time ago...but did DeSantis make common cause with Gaetz despite knowing how much of a POS he is?

IMO, DeSantis is far less of a POS than Gaetz, but he's definitely in the same camp ideologically, and is just as willing to take positions designed to inflame a racist, nativist base voter. White supremacist at his core, but clothed in ways designed to be appealing more broadly. Smarter too.

Yeah, but my money is that these guys were attracted to one another because they're both white supremacist, Trumpist climber POS, not that they're both dogging much younger women or paying for sex on the sly. Of course, that may be wrong.

The wife appears to be in the same category as hubby, aspirational for power and fame, though she has charted a more inclusive path for her own role in their joint branding story. I'd give her a plus mark for that effort. Hard to know how much is genuine, versus politically savvy, but if it were not for hubby, we'd not be questioning it. But then there's hubby.
