E-Verify is the answer IMO, but it has to be turned on slowly or in a planned manner, as it has the potential to cripple our economy. This was discussed in detail on another thread. 2. Guy two makes $40 per hour x 40 x 52 + another $20k+ in benefits = over $100,00 annually

How does is owner in example two able to compete against #1, since he is passing on the cost to the end user, especially if the job is on the lower end of the skill range, like ag or construction?

This has been done before. It's a big nothing burger. This doesn't worry or concern the D leadership. Most of the Ds will vote present. The ones who want to vote for it will vote for it. The vast majority of voters don't care about the details at this point. The Rs voting no carries just a big of a prospective downside. Majorities want some action. When the voters vote, most will look at this as a for - against doing something, not the details of the plan vote.
