Either of those scenarios could happen.
I have zero idea any more.

On the above CAA weekly awards, they could have just
as easily have gone with Drexel defenders as Aiden Coll.
Their middle defenders were very active, the coaches
rotated 6, 4 short sticks and 2 long sticks who were
able to create some good mayhem.

Agreed on the Dragons defense. They even had a nice assist on the Coll fast-break goal.

I knew it was going to be a long day when the Hen's first two open shots of the game hit the pipe. But I thought the shorties on Drexel did an awesome job pushing out the Acchione twins. Never let them get comfortable. They also poled Beida every time he got on the field. A much different effort than the first meeting when those three ran wild at GLE.

Originally all 6 teams were to make conference tournament. They changed to 4 teams. This would have been the best year to have all six. Every team could win it. I am being generous to Fairfield. I actually think they will pull off a win this year. The CAA has been absolutely awesome this year. Will really stink for the 5 seed. Been impressed with the play and balls to the wall effort of each team. By far my favorite conference to watch.

I hope you’re right. I’ve heard all six get in with play in games for the bottom four. These guys have played each other enough to get to the best four. Adding another round with short rest makes no sense to me. My $.02

Anyone know tie breakers if 4/5 are both 4-4. Would be head to head, but what if they played twice and split?

I think its 4 only also. And also, there is very little
time once the CAA completes to turnaround for the
NCAA 1st round.

The CAA standings becoming impossible to predict
in mid-April?

Who would have thought?

This weekend is anyone’s guess who emerges; there’s a very real possibility that three teams are 4-2 and two are 3-3 at weekend’s end.

As a graduate of a CAA team in the last decade, my eyes have been glued on these games every weekend. I dont know if people really understand the tension in the air during these between the sidelines. These teams absolutely hate each other. Its really tough to see the CAA as a two-bid league, especially with everyone in the ACC most likely getting a bid. Every game is life or death, cant wait for tournament time.

The potential tie breakers are an absolute nightmare. They might as well just flip coins.

Hofstra web site says no fans. Does anyone know if that is changing anytime soon, like by Saturday? If they can't have fans wouldn’t it make sense to move CAA Tournament somewhere that can? Like Delaware where they allow up to 1,000 people.

Not sure,

they’re under a time crunch to make the 1st round
of the NCAAs.

Teams got a few days break with the Ivies out,
no play in this year.

But still, they have to be ready to go by the 10th
or so to meet the Final Four timeline.

Selection Sunday is looking like the 9th.

CAA Tourney starts this weekend the way I look at it. Basically every game is Huge. Who ever gets Bid will be plenty battle tested.
I still think CAA deserves 2 Spots.

Just told Hofstra will not be having fans for Saturday game vs Delaware but they are hosting the CAA tournament in three weeks? It is beyond ridiculous, if you are afraid of catching the virus, no problem, stay home but let's get on with our lives.

A little ridiculous given that Shuart stadium can hold 9,000 people. How many fans would they anticipate attending on Saturday? 500 to 700? Certainly less than 10% capacity.

Maybe it has to do with a local ordinance? That might be the only reason to not have fans attend.

Good news is, the Hofstra crew does a really nice job of broadcasting games.

I’d stick with the guidelines,
that way you don’t have some local whatever/whoever
shutting you down, saying you violated Covid
guidelines.

For college sporting events, NYS allows 20% attendance at "large-scale" outdoor venues, which are defined as having capacity of 2,500 or more:
