This announcer keeps mixing up the rosters. Nice GB by Michigan close D "Andrew Darby" there.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
They got lucky on that man up.

Shoulder to the chest. Soft call.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
I really don’t care what happens in this game but if Coach thinks this team is better going forward with Shilling getting more time than Epstein he’s crazy

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Sloppy 1Q. Observations:
- Need better LSM wing play on FO. Two lost possessions on missed GBs, one leading directly to a goal.
- Michigan is going to have a hard time scoring 6X6, barring communication errors by the D (see next)
- Lilly really left Mabbett hung out to dry on that first goal. If you are going to switch, switch.
- Grimes needs to work on accuracy this off season. Constantly hitting the G in the chest.
- Happy to see Shilling get one; seems like a team guy

What are you talikng about? The announcer clearly said great play by "Darby". He had a mix-up earlier as well. Why the hostility?HopFan16 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:28 pmYou're the one who's mixed up.primitiveskills wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:18 pm This announcer keeps mixing up the rosters. Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Because the Michigan player's name is actually Andrew Darby.primitiveskills wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:34 pmWhat are you talikng about? The announcer clearly said great play by "Darby". Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Um, I'm sorry, but I can't get on board with benching/demoting Epstein. He's the best player on the team. I'm sure he'll handle it like a pro, but...yeah. He should be on the field at all times.

Might get your wish to see him in CP next year! In fairness, his volume shooting from GLE the past couple of weeks was equivalent to double-digit turnovers. But you would think they could work that out with him still on the field. Puzzling.

Clearly, the lineup changes on offense are not working. Two settled 6 on 6 goals. Poor shooting, numerous turnovers, almost unwatchable. Team is regressing.

More of this, please. Please, JHU peeps, please will this into existence.
Both teams look like they're playing for next year. UM's roster changes, too, aren't working so well. Buckanavage is glued to the bench. Ditto for Mack.Hoponboard wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 1:02 pm Clearly, the lineup changes on offense are not working. Two settled 6 on 6 goals. Poor shooting, numerous turnovers, almost unwatchable. Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Well, that was disappointing. Observations:
- With some work on footwork, Zinn could be an excellent SSDM. He's obviously got the size and he's a one-man clear.
- In grade school these guys should have learned that on the crease you play the body, not the stick. Some pretty shocking lack of fundamentals there.
- Without speculating on what's going on with Epstein, this offense simply doesn't work without him on the field
- Nice for Grimes to get that one. Hopefully a confidence boost.
- I like the fight from Dunn on FO. I think he's going to be very good.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
disagree, as it was unnecessary. Similar to what the NFL is now calling for a 'defenseless' player.HopFan16 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:28 pmYou're the one who's mixed up.primitiveskills wrote: ↑Sun Apr 04, 2021 12:18 pm This announcer keeps mixing up the rosters. Good point about Buckanavage and Mack. Although if I were Conry I'm not sure I'd be so confident in my job/ Milliman in a completely different situation.

If Schilling wants to play, he has to back up the goal. That's 3 times now.

Re: Johns Hopkins 2021
Taking Epstein off of attack is just about the most stupid thing I have seen in nearly 40 years of watching lacrosse.
It’s fine to change up the lineup to find your best mix, but that shouldn’t be happening so often more than halfway through the season.
