ODAC lax season is on

The weekend definitely had some entertaining games! I’m glad there was a short wait for the LYN v CNU rematch. HSC v W&L seems to be a tight game every year and BWater reminded Macon they are not in fact a top 30 team.

I don’t want to repeat what a lot of others have accurately pointed out - (LYN depth / Noke and W&L are young / Hard to tell how legit the HSC defense is)..

I will say that there are some great goalies and FO specialists in the ODAC. #26 jack Taylor (G) and #22 Ned Mize (FO) really kept the generals in the game in the 2nd half Saturday night. No surprise from Taylor in goal but Mize had consistent success late in the game against Brummett (#14 HSC). I was a little surprised by this after Brummett dominated Bridgewater’s AA FO #10 Mason Gaunt the week before. An impressive showing from W&L on that aspect - the game could have gotten out of hand otherwise.

Meanwhile #5 Quintin Ricci went 17/20 (85%) v CNU which was without a doubt the X Factor IMO. You can’t score without the ball and CNU thrives off of momentum.

There is a ton of talent in the ODAC as always but good possessions are what win games in may.

CNU's FOGOs are straight up atrocious. Brummett went 25-29 with 20 ground balls against them!

4: W&L has always been solid at FO. Going 50/50 and matching LYN energy worked for CNU and can work again.
5: TOs and high shooting %. Hasn’t been there yet but any given day W&L can come alive.

Ha! Thanks NBL, I feel like I’m a fan of one on the Generals thread. Not much chatter and I think it reflects what’s seen at the games. We all understand teams lose, what is tough has been the eye test. Except for moments I haven’t seen a full game played by them where they seem focused and most importantly at times indifferent. I doubt that’s true but the overall team body language at times is suspect. Just like to see them play well win or lose. Hoping Taylor and Bou have masterpiece performances
Friday night, keep it close into the 4th and steal one! Don’t come out slow in this one, break the game down into 5 minute intervals and win each 5 minute period. Match or exceed Lynchburg’s intensity

All due respect, you may be missing the point. Yes, generally attempts at humor are well received even if not particularly funny.

However here, the “joke” is not even marginally funny, and, when viewed in the context of everything going on the last year with the country in general, and lacrosse specifically, demonstrates a particularly callous and insensitive disregard of what many players, families, schools and communities have had to endure - from one of the self proclaimed “enlightened” ones here.

As some of the other posters have pointed out, the author of this particular “joke” has previously authored posts evidencing a condescending arrogance toward the ability of us “lesser” people to follow direction, exercise good judgment, attend games and act like adults. Given that history, this “joke” is not being well received by many of the other folks here on this forum. The author can’t have it both ways.

Do do agree with you 100% that the focus here should be on the ODAC lax.

A mediocre first quarter saw the Tigers tied 3-3 with St. Mary's, but then they outscored them 13-1 over the second and third quarters before the bench was emptied to start the fourth.15 players ended up scoring at least one point, of which 13 of those players tallied that point before H-SC empited the bench.

Long poles really getting into the scoring action for H-SC this year, had three of them score today!

Generals led 6-1 but it’s now 6-6 at the half. Taylor having a fantastic game in goal but Generals getting crushed on face-offs.
