Re: Towson 2019
Towson hasn't even put out Game Notes and it's 16 hours before face-off. Nads is obviously trying to hide the goaltender, attack, midfield. As if that stuff matters. Bottom line is defense has to be on their toes and assuming it's Stout in net or the big dude Canto, they have to be on their A game.

Re: Towson 2019
Well I guess that answers that...
17-8 Tigers win
17-8 Tigers win
Re: Towson 2019
So Canto’s the guy in goal.
These Hopkins - Towson games.
I would expect a close game pretty much every time.
But that hasn’t been the case.
17-8 this game. 14-6 last year.
Then 13-8, 14-8, last tight game was 7-5 in 2015.

Didn't expect that score.
Re: Towson 2019
So they’re going to red shirt Sunday aren’t they ?
He missed an entire season.
Sunday looked like the 2nd coming of Joe Seider during that 2017 run.

Re: Towson 2019
Sunday should get an extra year. All I can say is wow. That was incredible. Had no clue what to expect but after the first quarter, I saw some of the same things that took place in the Bucknell scrimmage. Sloppy play on offense, some communication issues on D and not great goaltending.
Then in the second quarter one of the biggest turnarounds I've seen as a fan of nearly 30 years of the program. A 9-0 run against the No. 4 program in the country. Maybe they aren't that good but they were good in that first quarter. Some of their frustrations came because they went low on Canto and he ate them up. The defense was also sensational led by Goodrich and Koby Smith, who is going to really benefit from the new rules.
Oh yeah and Woodall was incredible. He looks great and that weight loss has made him so much quicker.

From Quint
We seem to have some serious depth and experience on the D side of the field.
Doubt man teams we face will be able to contain the rope unit - love that we generated more points from the middle of the field and in transition Saturday, then we have had in an entire season in the past.
Shot clock really works to the advantage of the team that can make it take it.
24 total points on 50 shots was epic....Coach G must have been over the moon with 34% shots to goals.
Fortunately, the quick re-start goal didn't matter. Ref's should have blown it dead and got it right.
This team has two things last years team didn't have - complete buy in and senior leadership.12. Towson — Saturday’s romp was the first time that the Tigers scored 17 goals against the Blue Jays, and the nine-goal scoring margin was the largest in series history. I'd keep wearing those throwback jerseys. The Tigers shrugged off a slow start and blow-torched Hopkins in the second quarter. They turned a 4-2 deficit into an insurmountable lead, blitzing #WeWantMore for a 9-0 run. How'd they do it? Face-off man Alex Woodall was dominant. He looks sleek, slim, fast and fit. Your body is your game, and clearly Alex has made positive changes to his lifestyle; that sacrifice and discipline became evident in his performance. He had one goal and two assists with 17 groundballs. Brendan Sunday (6, 2) and lefty Brody McLean (3G) ripped corners. Zach Goodrich was his usual best athlete on the field. Towson won the individual matchups — whether it was a defender holding his ground against a Blue Jay dodger, a tenacious ride or guts in a groundball scrum, Towson made the plays that mattered.

I’ve been in a situation like that. This team has two things last years team didn't have - complete buy in and senior leadership.
Not as seamless as it may appear, even for someone as in command as Nadelin.
They’re kids.
They get overconfident.
They forget the work required.
Looks like Nadelin nipped that one in the bud.

Link to the replay of the Hop game?
Re: Towson 2019
Even though I knew the result and that Towson was physically superior, I was still blown away by the degree of dominance.
Re: Towson 2019
Great win, however you have to move on- long season. Something I noticed standing at field level watching in person, and was mentioned today in Quints podcast. Hopkins middies are small. Like really small! No dodgers. They should look to move a few attack to midfield, fast!

Loved the energy and aggression of the Tigers. Nadelen has Towson back in form.

It was an epic win...moving on is what you do when you lose.Mr3Putt wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 7:59 pm Great win, however you have to move on- long season. Enjoy the win, but keep it in perspective, because it is a long season.
Re: Towson 2019
New recruit for 2020.
Highly recruited, it would seem, Duke, Cornell, Syracuse, North Carolina listed as other schools considered.
Just committed, out of North Carolina.

You have to trolling the Hopkins site after they lose a game. They are now calling out their player for clapping the hand of his high school teammate. ABH!
