A sister living outside of Charlottesville, VA, informed me of pharmacy that is allowing anyone and everyone to get vaccines from them. It is a rural RED county which does not have a health department, but shares an “umbrella” health program with two adjoining counties. The counties have been pooling the COVID vaccine doses that the state gives them and sending them to a collective of pharmacies within their counties. They don't have enough people living in that area willing to get the vaccines, so they are looking for bodies, even people from out of the state.

son just had 2 college roommates last week that signed up as heard they had more than they could give away in the areas you're talking about.

got an appt in like 2 seconds and they're 1/2 way thru the vaxx protocol already.

Made a walk in fridge in a friends garage, for his harvest prep. Lives in Maryland. Slowly weaning him off of msg ladden meat tenderizer and adding bacon for "flavor" to everthing.

My Brother in law, soaks his venison in a cooler of ice and water for a day or two, takes all the blood out of it and removes damned near all of that 'gamey' taste of venison. At that point, he treats like any other beef he'd purchase. He did a side by side of cooked venison that was ice bathed and not...there was a noticeable difference; cooler ice bath wins by a long shot.

Never heard of such a thing. Interesting.

He might get the same thing letting the meat hang for several days go in and out of rigor. Clean the rind and all the silver skin off it. Idk

For you Upstate NY'ers (translated Central NY for you Long Island folks):
Met some Binghamton family and friends for Labor Day and one of them was a hunter. He had homemade venison speedies. Cooked on the grill. Fantastic. Tender as can be and no hint of "gamey-ness" at all.

Led to a discussion/argument of Lupo's vs. Salamida's for the speedie marinade, but that is a different argument to be continued the next time we can all tailgate on Memorial Day at a National Chamionship weekend.

I’m going to pick a rural county that voted overwhelmingly for tRump and try there. I’m betting the odds are good there is a high correlation of fools and tRump supporters in those counties.

I would not be so certain. I am very familiar with Gretna, Brookneal areas. Pittsylvania (Gretna), Campbell (Brookneal) counties. Not really close to Charlottesville. I spent summers there when I was a teen. Deep red, Trumpnista country, today. FDR democrats until Johnson gave the nigg**s uppity ideas. Moved to the republican party along with Strom Thurmond. Use to be tobacco farms, truck farms, moonshine and very little else. The kind of place where rural white America has been dying (and killing themselves) since the 70s. My father and his brothers grew up there. Grandfather died there in the late 80s. CU88's story is totally believable.

Call them and schedule your vaccination. The people, under 30 and from outside of VA, I know got 1st dose of Pfizer this week and are scheduled for 2nd dose mid April. Drove 4 hours each way and made a day long road trip out of it.

Gretna, Virginia, is a very, very small town. Less than two thousand residents. (1200, based on the US Census of 2010 )

40 percent of which, are African-Americans.

The entire county (Pittsylvania ) has less than 35K people that voted in the last election.

Willing to bet, if we look at the Vaxx shipments, county to county, in the state of Virginia, you will find that Pittsylvanian county, got way more vaxx's than the population of the county.

and, when I just called, they said there is a waiting list to get the covid vaxx.
