Tye Kutz wanted that one,
he wouldn’t give it up,
wrap around goal wins it in OT for Hens,
this is CAA lacrosse,
you never know, could have easily have been
the Tigers !

13-12 Delaware.

Tigers could very well have won that game,
caused 19 Hen turnovers,
you just never know in CAA play.

Towson played with a lot more intensity than the Hens in the first half. They were leading 10-5 in the third. Hervada saved the day.for the Hens. Not sure why they waited till the fourth quarter to replace Hockenberry. Even the faceoffs he won, he quickly turned over. Towson was relentless on the wings. Hockenberry won 9 faceoffs but turned it over immediately on 5 of those. So he was actually 4 for 21 before they replaced him. That is where a lot of the CTs came from.

The rematch in Baltimore will be insane.

Chris Connelly may be out for UMass,
he hurt his other knee on a fairly innocent play,
walked it off, but it did not look good, so two bad
knees now, speculation ?
Fortunate for UMass, they can just plug Devin
Spencer back there behind goal.

Reid Bowering was a DNP, not sure if he’s hurt, this puts
them in a bind since they had to plug a midfield at attack,
Drexel is just trying to find something that works, they’re
now up to 9 new guys, zero cohesiveness.

Not much of a contest for UMass, 13-7, and it really
wasn’t that close, Connelly is the concern.

They need the playing time :D

Tigers lead by 3,
5+ mins left,
and then a really useless penalty gives the
Hens life,
its too bad, they played real well for 55 mins.

After going down 3-2 the Tigers scored 5 goals in the final five minutes of the first quarter to go up 7-3. The next three quarters they were outscored 10-5. So you could argue that they played real well for 5 minutes, not 55 minutes. ;)

That was by far the best CAA in conference game I’ve
seen in a while.
Cold comfort, but that was Towson’s best game thus
far, and in some ways especially at the end, Delaware’s
best effort.
It looks to me as the four tournament teams have
emerged, Delaware, UMass, Hofstra, Towson.
We won’t see Delaware and UMass play until season end.
UMass gets Hofstra next in CAA play, assuming Hofstra comes back with zero issues and ready to play.
Tigers get Loyola next, so I would not want to be Loyola
facing off against Nadelen and team in this state, I think
they’re going to be one angry, hell-bent squad next Saturday.

Agree. Close game. Towson kept the ball away from Delaware. When you don't have the ball, you can't score. Kitchen is a beast.

The topper was the guy we hadn't scored all game long (Kurtz) had the winning goal in OT. Storybook finish.

The CAA needs to address the ridiculously poor broadcast their fan base is receiving from Lax Sports Network. Towson has been featured on two games and both were s...t shows. This week the live game was continuously lost and replace with cut-ins from the Delaware vs Fairfield game earlier this season. While watching the game you are continually refreshing, or trying to get the game feed on multiple devices. Even when you get a picture the quality is non-HD. You compare the quality to what you get watching other games and Lax Sports Network is simply a poor product. I like their announcers and analysts. The production is simply awful.

League coaches will send potential recruits links to watch the games. Lax Sports Network is certainly not an positive asset to the recruiting process. The conference needs to come up with a different carrier for next year.

Chris Connelly is out,
he looked pretty hurt to me on Saturday,
that complicates things though UMass does have a
couple people they could plug into that role.

They’ll have to shut down, shut off Jakob Patterson,
let other guys make plays with Nanticoke out.
