Good opportunity for Fairfield to air it out.
Although Sacred Heart’s defense has been decent,
they were able to hold Hofstra’s offense in check
until the 4th quarter.
And, it looks like the game is a go.

The only for sure thing,
the composite CAA record this week will have been
3 wins and 2 losses.
Hoping Hofstra is staying in shape and ready to go
next Friday.

Three real good attack units.

Hofstra
Justin Lynsky, Ryan Tierney, Alex Concannon
69 combined points

Delaware
Charlie Kitchen, Tye Kurtz, Mike Robinson
70 points

UMass
Chris Connolly, Gabe Procyk, Dillon Arrant
8 points combined, 1 game

I see a lot of posts, no game thoughts. Towson is battle tested compared to Delaware but had some turnovers late vs Drexel. UD has a potent attack. Can Towson defend the ball movement of the Delaware attack? They must protect the weak side passes to the Canadian shooters . Both teams are mediocre at the X. Towson has a freshman midfield unit that is 6’5 across. Be a good time to bring them out. Other then a few close defenseman. Not much size on the Delaware team at LSM etc.

Its CAA play.
You never know.

I thought Reed Kurtz would play long stick defense which would have given the Hens size there, but I guess he’s got
the cover skills so Kurtz is at close defense.

Can’t think of any advantages Drexel has on UMass
other than one more CAA game. Drexel will have to keep
rolling out inexperience or little experience at attack
and midfield until they find the right combination of
offensive depth.

The only thing you don’t know is the difference between “then” and “than.” I’m guessing you graduated from Towson. :D

Hah :D

UMass looks like they have a find in their large freshman
attackman, Dillon Arrant, yet another overlooked recruit
Cannella has brought in. He doesn’t appear to be shy
about taking the shot, so that opens things up
for the other attackmen. Also, this makes UMass deeper
at midfield since they’re able to move high skill Devon
Spencer to middie. Sean Quinn will likely cover Chris
Connelly.

Drexel’s (Steven Boyle’s / Brown U’s) offense is complex, relying on a lot of picks and rolls, as many as two or three on one midfielder dodge. But it stalls if you don’t keep your head up and make the roll pass right away before the double team covers you. They’re breaking in a lot of new offensive players, six, seven, eight players who are new or
who hadn’t gotten a lot of minutes. If they can’t make
these adjustments and keep it close, UMass will just wear
them down, they’ll need a lot of shots on net.

Yes, good for Austin he has matured a lot and done very well at Iowa, happy for him. Quint is much better covering wrestling than lacrosse, he is really good at it.

There u go! Nice. I like it . I enjoy Tubby Raymond Stadium and will be there today. Nice weather, watching some good lacrosse. The spread is Blue Hens -2.5. Should be a good one.

Agreed. I hate close lacrosse games when my teams are involved. But this looks like a good match up.

Hoping that Towson will finally succumb to the superior power of the fightin chickens. Been too long.
