Saw it coming for a while but shame Chuck D can’t take Flav’s commercialism anymore and threw him out. Saw them at a Rock the Bells in 2007 on Randalls Island (taking a bus over with a close college friend after we successfully executed a bud light case sized two man game of a-hole in my apartment for 2.5hrs before leaving on a hot July day) and Flav) and after their set Flav brings his family out to announce Flavor of Love 2 or something stupid show he had. Could see Chuck D shaking his head in disgust at the side of the stage.

Nonetheless, they did this with their terrific band in 2011 at Metropolis out in the pacific NW (Seattle?). Wonderful tribute to the (BB, Freddie & Albert) King brothers in second half of this love version.

Flavor of Love was about the most ignorant thing I had ever seen in a “Reality” show other than the Whitney Houston / Bobby Brown train wreck. Bridget Nielsen with a mouth full of gold was ridiculous.

100% agreed but I once partied w Flav while in Copenhagen in mid 2000 so I will never say a bad word about him. But your not wrong, he did sell out. Did you know Flav was classically trained in Piano?

I did not know that. Flav is not a bad guy at all. Best hype man ever.

He’s super friendly and cool as hell. So I live with him selling out. By contrast I and a few friends met the lead singer of Eagle Eye Cherry (John something I think) and he acted like a total douche wanna be rock star. Then a month later we partied with Jazzy Jeff and he was super fun as well
