Understood. I’m not that concerned about that, Gray is unselfish and is just as effective as a feeder and there are plenty of folks ready, willing and able to score.

Goalie play remains suspect. Not that he’s not good, it’s just thus far I haven’t seen the level of play that probably is required for the ACC portion of the schedule. It’s just that little something extra...

I’m leaning more this way,

especially because of Rode’s play,
and also because UVA, with some good wins, yes,
needs to get that “signature” win out of the way
sooner rather than later.

Its just hard to see where any ACC team goes through
this abbreviated regular season undefeated.

UNC will win the battle at the face off X. They have the offense to put the ball in the net, so with the possession advantage I agree with TAV, UNC by a couple. Either way, excited to watch these upcoming ACC match ups!

Want to see a good game obviously. I hope not but I think there's a good chance this is a blowout in UNC's favor.

Game will be played in low 70s and upper 60s, which will feel hot this time of year. Carolina is famously deep on offense, but the most tiring position is defensive midfield, especially for the team that loses a lot of face-offs. Both teams have good face-off units. Will they split, or will Carolina dominate as did the Cuse? No word on whether Parker is playing. He is important to UVA because he is good and because five ssdms is better than four on a warm night. Backup poles have come along. Defensive midfield is key against the Heels, who have the best starting mid in the country after the Cuse and can throw out a Princeton grad along with several young guys to form a formidable second unit.
Bowen, the top close dman playing tonight will probably draw Moore, who plays attack all the time, instead of Shellenberger and Bertrand, who switch between attack and midfield but could both command the attention of any team's number one cover guy. The Ox needs to emerge after a couple of quiet games. Will Aitken pick tonight to return to 2019 form? UVA is going to need to run the second mids more tonight given the heat and caliber of opponent.
18-16 seems a likely outcome unless we see a reprise of the Cuse collapse. Hoping for a shootout in which the last team with the ball wins.
