The law of unexpected consequences. Some of the environmental fruit loops must be banging their head against the wall. Can you save the planet and at the same time not kill an endangered species? That is quite the conundrum for the fruit loops? :?

Not the first time California has raised condors in captivity. Pesticide almost drove them to extinction in the 1970s and 1980s. The condors came back when the pesticide was outlawed and they were raised in captivity.

About 250 thousand birds die annually in the US from crashing into wind turbines.
At least 400 million birds die annually in the US from crashing into windows. A billion in the US crashing into buildings, including windows.

There are at least 6 technologies that can be used with wind turbines to greatly reduce the death rate. Sorry no one is losing a lot of sleep over this situation.

Except maybe the Condors? I think they should post warning signs around the wind turbines in Condorese.

Volvo to Go All-Electric by 2030

Post by DocBarrister »

As expected, carmakers around the world are seeing GM’s pledge to go all-electric by 2035 and raising the stakes.

Volvo announced it will go all-electric by 2030.

"There is no long-term future for cars with an internal combustion engine," Volvo chief technology officer Henrik Green said in a statement. The transition to selling only electric cars will allow Volvo "to meet the expectations of our customers and be a part of the solution when it comes to fighting climate change," he added.
