I'm just not seeing any adjustments by Loyola on offense.Cletus wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:23 pmOuch!seacoaster wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:22 pm She appears to have a better handle on this game than Coach Adams.

Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
That was a pretty goal for the hounds.
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
Hounds came crashing back to Earth today. 15 minutes left in the game and Loyola has managed only 4 goals. As seacoaster alluded to earlier, perhaps the team just wasn’t ready and/or prepared. Maybe Syracuse is just that much more talented?
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
Seems to me they are not making the type of quick interior passes you need in order to beat the backer: side to side, side to in, or behind to front. They have had the ball up top too much. Can’t beat a backer from up top.seacoaster wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:27 pmI'm just not seeing any adjustments by Loyola on offense.Cletus wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:23 pmOuch!seacoaster wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:22 pm She appears to have a better handle on this game than Coach Adams.
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
I think the teams that have all of these: a fall, return a lot of experience, and athletes -- (UNC, syracuse, northwestern,ND) are going to be way ahead of everyone else at least for the first half of the season.

Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
Exactly; they are moving the ball too slowly, and should be working cutters from the elbows with passes from 4 and 9 below or at GLE. They have the kids who can catch and shoot in tight spots; just not getting them there.njbill wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:38 pmSeems to me they are not making the type of quick interior passes you need in order to beat the backer: side to side, side to in, or behind to front. Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
I agree. Early season is usually a little squirrelly, but this year way more than most.
Loyola has not looked good today, but that doesn’t mean to me that they can’t get it together by mid to late season.
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
Loyola has become positively anemic on the draw.

And Syracuse looks like it's April. This is a little crazy. 17-5?

A final shout out to Taylor Cummings. Excellent in the booth.

Hope so, maybe she'll save me a seat.seacoaster wrote
Yep. I'd circle those two Notre Dame games in the Dome. DMac and Mrs. R.U. Effinuts should be there.
Was very impressed with Cuse today, don't know why the word thuggery would be used to describe their D, it was just tenacious, relentless and tireless. Very impressive. O was too, awful lot of weapons down on that end. Game one, long way to go and teams will get better with more games but that was a nice outing for the Cuse gals.
