Does a ponytail count as part of the head?...

Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
I think the answer is no. That is, a check to the ponytail is not an automatic yellow. However, if the check is to the ponytail, it is darn close to the head, and still could be carded.

One thing about Syracuse, you can never be sure they won’t pass the ball on a free position shot. I’m surprised more teams don’t do it.

They have always been very “aggressive” on D. Some might call them chippy

I think it's more fair than calling UNC's defense yesterday thuggy, which some did. But IMO they don't cross the line from tough to play against to dangerous.Bart wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:04 pmI would not call them that but some wouldlaxagainsthumanity wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:03 pmMaybe even thuggy...Bart wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:01 pmThey have always been very “aggressive” on D. Wow, Cuse's D is like a boa constrictor they just keep squeezing and squeezing til you don't have much room to breathe. Pretty impressive. First thirty minutes after a fifty week lay off, next thirty minutes are going to be tough. Absolutely love the way Megan Carney plays lacrosse. Girl's got great wrists and leverage, very nifty player...several good players on the field on both sides.

aint too proud to beg
Hounds killing themselves with all the turnovers. No cutting offense.
yuck.

Cuse defense making it really hard for Loyola to get settled and comfortable. Very well executed. I wonder if they'll be able to sustain it for another half, that style takes a lot of energy.
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
Think Loyola GK is a little susceptible to the low ball?

She appears to have a better handle on this game than Coach Adams.
Re: #4 Syracuse at #3 Loyola
The consensus reached yesterday was that UNC is not a typically thuggy team, though for a stretch in the first half there were a couple of head fouls by the Heels that could be viewed as thuggy.laxagainsthumanity wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 1:05 pm I think it's more fair than calling UNC's defense yesterday thuggy, which some did.
