I could barely sleep last night, so freaking excited.

I know I’ve been the king of downplaying expectations... but holy hell I want this win.

Appreciate this. None of us have needed any kind of reminder of how much we've missed this game but when your team is finally up for a game the passion and excitement brings on all kinds energy and butterflies. Good luck to the Hop, enjoy.
(No Cuse til TOMORROW  Huge wlax game though.)

The start of a new era at Homewood.

Let's try not to overreact, in either direction. This is game one of a very unusual season.

Just glad that there is lacrosse again and there is a team in columbia blue and black to root for.

Nope, and believe it or not that's the one I'll be watching at noon. Two really, really good teams.

Normally I’d be almost ready to head to Homewood shortly, but sadly today I’m just going to have to watch both this game and later the game at the RIAC on the computer. There is one consolation. It was 27 with a wind chill of 15 when the dog and I headed out this morning. Looks like 31 and windy for face-off. Gonna be brisk out there today.

"They’ll travel to Homewood Field as the Peter Milliman era’s first opponent. Milliman’s first couple moves have been really interesting. Connor DeSimone will start at attack and Cole Williams will work out of the box to play more downhill, with either heralded freshman Brendan Grimes or Owen Murphy starting at that lefty spot on attack to round out a John Grant Jr.-run attack."
-10 years ago Inside Lacrosse was a publication on the ascent. Those stadium games were awesome, they had a ton of great- writers and were a part of the surge of the game. Xanders is a machine, their photography is awesome, but it like so many other publications are missed opportunities in journalism. So many great stories to tell in this sport and ways to tell it and like the rest of the sport I learn most of it here from you guys.
-My depth chart for tomorrw was going to be guinness at fogo, dumplings at attack, an extra large meatlovers at midfield, lava cake on d and in hummus net but then I looked at the 20 lbs I gained in corona and we'll go with a chicken wrap, celery/hummus and coffee.
-I was looking for the box scores from Haus's last game and petros first last night to tomorrow how the lineups compared. Oh well, I'm sure a few of you actually have the game programs from 2000.
I still have a cache of programs going back to the 1950s. Looking at a 1957 catalog I noted I had marked goals and assists on the roster page. Billy Morrill and Mickey Webster were playing at that time and typically Morrill had 6 goals and 1 assist and Webster had 1 goal and 6 assists...anyway.
One of favorite older programs is from 1995 against Virginia when Terry Riordan set the career goal record. Saw him after the game and he autographed ; rather boldly , the cover.

I'm really chimed about the start of this season , my 74th , as I believe the Jays are beginning a new ascent to the top...! :P

Love that '47. Gotta love the fact that you can see these games on TV in this era.

Still no cannon though.

Gotta bring the cannon back.

No need to stick it up the opposing goalie’s ass though.

Defense looks really slow: Mabbett, Lyne beaten easily.
3 possessions, 3 easy goals for Bucks.

Too easy. We should think about at least mixing in some zone.
