Trainor might be the most unheralded guy on this list, but that was going to change before 2020 shut down. He’s a party-starter and was arguably the catalyst for UMass’ successful 2020. He’s back for another year, along with many of the Minutemen. And, he’ll gladly hop back and play defense or do some dirty work along with his production.

Interesting to see The Gorillas pick up BU late in this COVID season, plus their normal OOC opponents Army, Albany, and Lowell.

They were originally going to play UVM, LIU, and their traditional Ivy opponents Harvard, Yale, and Brown.

Gavin Locascio (2022, Midfield, Bayport) UMass: Righty midfielder Gavin Locascio is expected to impress for Bayport. His ridiculous fancy footwork paired with his aggressive style of play makes him hard to catch. He has that great scoring and passing ability too on the fast break, which earned him 13 goals and 7 assists during the 2019 season. The UMass commit should be able to get it done.

That’s too bad. Hopefully they get back to practices soon. The good news is Massachusetts has been trending in the right direction with regard to Covid so hopefully this is the last time this happens.
