Denver@Duke 2/5@1500 hrs.
Re: Denver@Duke 2/5@1500 hrs.
Looks to me as if the game under Denver's belt is playing big in this one. Took Duke 2 1/2 quarters to get their feet under them, been a different, far more competitive game since then. 10-9 Denver going into the fourth.

I’m still good with Duke.

Set up pretty good for your 15-10 at the moment. 11-10, Duke.
Not a chance in hell I'd leave Sowers behind the cage all alone.
Tierney thinks differently.

Duke interestingly, and unlike most teams, has players birthdays listed in most bios. Man, these are some, uhm, seasoned guys.
Re: Denver@Duke 2/5@1500 hrs.
What cannot be questioned is that duke has talent all-over-the field. One v. one, Duke's tough to beat. The best team on any given Saturday is a different story. Still, a good W.

My son just told me a kid is a full year older than him and he graduated in 2018!
“I wish you would!”

Think Denver is going to win quite a bit in the stats columns, not so much on the scoreboard though.

Grad/5th yr eligibility certainly tacks on a year but a number of 24 and even 25yr olds, Uppgren is 25.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:16 pmMy son just told me a kid is a full year older than him and he graduated in 2018!

IMO, Tierney is his own worst enemy, at this point in his career. Denver misses out on so many opportunities, just so they can wait to attack with 20 and under on the clock; just too slow and controlling. Did you also pick up that they looked gassed in the 4th quarter....maybe jet lag.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

The semi-pro year.

Tierney’s problem is he likes himself way too much - it’s about him all the time. We must remember, he’s MUCH BIGGER than the game itself!youthathletics wrote: ↑Fri Feb 05, 2021 5:32 pmIMO, Tierney is his own worst enemy, at this point in his career. You’re right, it’s been the same offense for the past 10 years - just plug in players...
Gassed, jet lag? I don’t buy that excuse. Denver benefits plenty from other teams flying too them AND dealing with altitude changes...
I also enjoyed that they won most FO’s and still lost! Like I said, it’s a team game...
Re: Denver@Duke 2/5@1500 hrs.
I hope Quint wasn't serious when he said Danowski WANTS to lose games.
I guess Coach D. changed his mind at halftime about wanting to win this one

Re: Denver@Duke 2/5@1500 hrs.
If Danowski commits to keeping up a big rotation a lot of teams are going to look gassed vs Duke in 4th quarter this year. Of course, maybe Duke’s old men might start to wear out by the end of the year...

Sean Lowrie was Independent School League player of the year... in 2015. Took a redshirt year due to injury in 2016 and was already in a Duke grad program in 2020 (so why not keep playing if enrolled and still have eligibility), but he'll turn 25 this summer. That's a lifetime older than a 18-19 college frosh.

Nope. Outstanding call by tech.
