Thanks.
George Will has been a steadfast conservative thinker and commentator for decades. I'll listen later today.

And an Orioles fan...once sat 4 seats away from him, he scoring the game on his lap.
4 seats away and you didn't get his autograph?? Shame on you. :D You must be a glutton for punishment with all the years Peter Angelos destroyed that baseball team. When our Rochester Red Wings were still their farm team Angelos took a beating from every sports writer in our town about his mis-management. I guess since it is his team he can run it however he wants.
I once flew George Will, Sam Donaldson, & Cokie Roberts on a charter from Teterboro to Wash National.
They were really nice & fun. I didn't tell George I was a Cardinal fan until they were exiting the plane.
:D I bet George simply appreciated that you knew he was an O's fan! He's quite eloquent on the subject of baseball. When guys like him talk about the sport, I remember the aspects that I enjoyed, even the pacing (though way too slow today)...Brooks was my favorite player because of the way he was such a student of the hitters and his own pitchers, anticipating their tendencies based on the pitch he knew was coming...fabulous hands and reactions, clutch player, but a huge aspect was his preparation.

Sam always seemed to rub me the wrong way, dour and disagreeable, maybe a more fun fella in a relaxed setting? Cokie came across to me as whip, sharp as a tack, likely to have all sorts of fun stories and a ready laugh.
They are lucky, OS could have jettisoned them out of the back of the plane, yet he did not. :D
I wasn't a big fan of Sam's but in person, he was very engaging & friendly. We could hear him joking around the entire flight.

George is a lifelong Cubs fan, having grownup in central IL, which is fiercely divided between Cub & Cardinal fans.
Will mentions it frequently in his writings & tv appearances.
He laughed when I said I didn't want to tell him that until after I landed.
He was appreciative that I was that familiar with his writings.

Great. Make fun of a female public figure who is a naturalized American. That is not tolerated in this forum.
Who, ironically, jumped the line for naturalization and who also made use of "chain migration" to get her family also to jump the same line.
She's just another example of the boorish crowd in this administration. The fish rots from the head as they say.

Wondering if Rep Sherill turns out to be correct if you'll even acknowledge it. As if totally extrapolating her service record out of thin air with ZERO evidence isn't bad enough.

But then again, this from someone who rationalizes pardoning convicted war criminals for "having served their sentence" - one had a LIFE sentence. The others 30 years - so serving a fraction of their sentence doesn't mean much. Then again, defending convicted criminals is what you do all the time around here.

Par for the course from you AGAIN.
It does not matter whether or not Sherrill is right. She's grandstanding & hiding behind her embellished military service.
She did not need to go public with her suspicions. If anything, it will complicate the investigation.
Now her (D) colleague is questioning the loyalty of NG troops.

I did not rationalize anything. I pointed out that the Blackstone guys did not get off without punishment. At least they served hard time, as did the overmatched Army Captain who was also pardoned.

If Mel & family were to overstay their visas now, Biden would give them a Green Card for just being here.
At least they entered legally & earned their way when here.

Still awaiting news on that great health care plan.

Also waiting to hear whether Doofus will grant a blanket pardon to all those white supremacist criminals who stormed the Congress last week and who killed the federal cop. Uh, I wonder what Petey has to say about that ....

FLOTUS and her family jumped the line for their green cards They used chain migration to gain entry. True, they had a lot of company but it doesn't change the facts. Money talks.

BLACKWATER felons are war criminals. There was simply no credible rationale to pardon them and commute their sentences at a fraction of the terms other than to throw their former boss (Prince) a solid. That you would even at a minimum defend this is disgusting.

Why do you still hate women that have accents? That goes against your basic nature does it not? ;)
nah, I find accents sexy...no hate there! ;)

But Mel absolutely begs for disdain...by her actions not her accent.
Point taken, but I still love her accent. What the heck she ever saw in Trump outside of his money is beyond me. Her and Arnold would have been a great couple.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.. I get it. I was trying to be subtle about it. I did not want to imply she was a gold digger. ;)

That's my point about Sherrill's service. She makes claims that are not specific enough to be confirmed. She did not have sufficient time in service to do all the jobs she claims, when she claims to have done them.

Mel was here on a tourist visa & was paid for some modeling work. She then got an EB-1 visa, green card & was naturalized.
Chain migration, used by her parents, was legal & remains so.

Stop putting words in my mouth. I am not defending the Blackwater pardon. Rather, pointing out the facts.

A man of the world. Our HS baseball coach was a man named Eddie Nietopski, he was drafted by the cardinals in the 50s he never made the team. My HS nickname was the cardinals. Coach always wore that old beat up cardinals cap.

Did your flight training include any experience doing LAPES ? ;)
Never flew a plane with a tailgate. Did have some SEALs fast rope out of my helo.

Use to watch those C130s come in and drop those skids off with their bellies almost touching the ground. I admired the technique used flat and level and then pick up the nose enough to gently get the cargo to go off of the rollers. Damn good flying... Too bad they were air force. ;) Some of the heavy drop would use the drogue chutes to get them started out the ass end.
I use to be a people person until people ruined that for me.

Former White House Chief of Staff and retired Marine General John Kelly was invited to the Trump send-off but won’t be able to attend because he has other pressing commitments, he tells CNN.

Kelly didn’t hold back in his criticism of Trump after the terrorist attack the president incited so the invitation would seem to suggest a real lack of participants.
Kelly is busy reorganizing his sock drawer tomorrow.

Check Craig’s list to see how much T**** is paying people to attend his party tomorrow.
