Yes. I see. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Make sure you come here to ask about your Cirrhosis. Have a great Sunday. Drink up.

Do some beers require less energy to produce than others ;)

Climate and beer.......we need low energy, low carbon footprint beer only. Part of the new green deal. That goes for home brewing equipmment.

Do you really need an electronic whirlpooler? Can you just stir by hand?

Imagine the carbon footprint of a distrillary.....yikes. Shut em down, carbon footprinters of badness ;)

Delicious beer.... almost perfect in its style.
Don’t recall ever seeing this label or perhaps I was never looking for it, but it’s right up my beer alley. I’ll have to go look for it. Interesting history too. The brewery, Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus, indicates that it is a state run brewery of Baden-Württemberg. Tannenzäpfle Means “little fir cones” for the trees in its Black Forest zone.
Let me know if you are able to find it. It’s my second favorite beer!
Was able to find it at a local beer superstore. It had just come in and took home a sixpack. Top notch pils. Well balanced, fresh, crisp and delicious. Everything one wants in a beer.

Jever is still my favorite but it’s become increasingly hard to find. Jever was best when I could walk to the German restaurant Ludwig’s on Sansom St in Center City where it was on tap.

Thanks for the tip. Rothaus will be in my rotation.

I like Jever too! I used to get it on tap in NYC and it was in my rotation. You can now get it canned. I am going to buy a 6 pk tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me! You describe Rothaus perfectly.

I am having Kielbasa with Jever. I had forgotten how much I liked that beer. Just the right amount of bitterness and its clean tasting. Thanks for reminding me!

I had this beer the day you posted it. Very good. Ayinger is one of my favs but I usually go with the Brauweisse.

My best beer source didn’t carry any Augustiner and they were out of stock on the Jever. The beer dude mention that shipments from Europe have been slow due to the pandemic making the receipt of some beers difficult. I did mention the Jever in a can and there is hope because it’s becoming more common to ship brewed imported beer in a tanker and bottle or can it domestically. Even the small De Dolle brewery in Belgium, the makers of one of my favs - arabier, bottles in Connecticut.

TLD, where do you shop for beer? Any stores in the area that you'd recommend, or do you shop for beer exclusively on-line?

You ever try Total Wine in Milford? There is a small package store near Church and Elm downtown NH that also has a decent selection. Small but good. Harry’s Liquor and Mo’s Wine and Spirits are close to me. I frequent those two spots. If you travel the mass pike or get to RI or MA, try Yankee Discount Liquor. Huge footprint!

If you ever see this, buy it. The Jack’s Abby Post Shift and House Lager are also good substitutes for good German Beer. When I “buy American” I buy their beers.
