Agreed - it's very comforting to know that no irrelevant Saudi Princes or other irrelevant important Saudi sons have ever done us major damage.

Answer: it didn’t.

It’s not a peace agreement. The countries were not and have never been at war.

What do you call it then?
This is like the Berlin Wall coming down, in the middle east. It's a realignment.

It's the initial step in formalizing an alliance to contain & deter Iran & their proxies.

Who would have dared to imagine this in 1967 or 1973 ?

The Palestinians must make peace or be further marginalized.
Calm down. This isn't exactly Begin/Sadat type material. Bahrain and UAE basically traded diplomatic relations/recognition of Israel in return for 1) Bibi's guarantee not to annex any Palestinian land as allowed in the recent Kushner one-sided "peace plan" and 2) the ability to purchase latest American war technology including F-35 stealth aircraft plus advanced stealth drones. Makes sense for them as a hedge against Iran (although Bibi is reportedly not too happy about his new "allies" having the same high-tech aircraft as he does now....wonder why that is?????)

It's your typical mafia-style deal brought to you by dirtbag Kushner and the rest of the family business including disguised Neocons like O'Brien, Pompeo, Cotton and the rest of your alleged multi-dimensional chess players. You complain about BHO selling out and then look the other way when your heroes do the selling out just in a different way.

Might also explain why the Qataris (who may be next in line for the same arrangement) were recently outed as renting a entire floor of of a SFO Trump property for quite some time without so much as ever occupying any of the space - KACHING!

Don't forget to applaud DoD for finally supplying what's left of our troops in Syria alleged ""guarding oil" some armored Bradley Fighting Vehicles to deal with Rooskie provocations ramming Humvees still trying to get DOPUS to remove all of them from the region.

As usual, you're delusional.
You all do realize that you are proving the value of this "deal"; money, alliances, safety and stability, is what 'most' all countries and its people want. The ability to sit at the table and work things out....unlike our own damned congress. The opposition sound like a salesman that can't figure out how they lost a big sale, when it really just boiled down to some good ole' fashion relationship building and sharing some perks. The Art of the Deal?
How does the addition of Sudan play into the this? According to the article, some just want to keep up with 'the old ways'. Change is tough I suppose when peace is at the forefront.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Sudan makes all the difference. Another country that has had covert relations with Israel for decades. UAE, Bahrain, Sudan are incredibly low hanging fruit, and yet there is still pushback.

No peace in the middle east until the Palestinians agree.

Is this another Trump arms deal? Has the press sniffed out yet what military hardware is being “sold” to Sudan?

It might work out better for them than signing any agreement with the Biden administration. Joey B... the mouth that roared.

Arabs buying an Israeli soccer team. that's kind of amazing. https://twitter.com/ofirgendelman/statu ... 8508072962
for what it's worth, this is a soccer team with a rabidly racist fanbase. Seems like an odd choice for a team for an Arab to buy. We'll see...

On the heels of Israel's agreement with the Dutchy of Grand Fenwick, a similar agreement was announce between Israel and Morocco earlier this week. Of course Trump (the dumbsh!t that he is) agreed to recognize Morocco's disputed territorial claims to the Western Sahara. Just like the British and French did 100 years ago in drawing map lines that have caused all the problems in the middle east over the past 100 years.

I can hardly wait for the VDH 2 cents worth of BS to explain to us all, why this was really a smart move.

Can the republican scum in the Senate grow enough balls to block this non-sense? It appears one republican Senator (using the term loosely) may be trying. The Story.

Is that the Grand Duchy of Fenwick that tried to give Osama Bin Laden to Bill Clinton in the '90's ?
