ihme folks rolling out new projections today. up to 561k covid deaths by april 1 vs around 505k previous projections.
maybe they came off early january eua for azn? they also now predict our mask usage to decline in q1 2021, but also have our social distancing falling off a cliff (mobility decreasing) near term. are they bringing in recent and future "lockdowns" and restrictions? again, i will take the under.

Re: All things Chinese CoronaVirus
My daughter gets her vaccine shot tomorrow just in time for her husband to get back from Brazil. Good timing. Of course, her loving brother, having heard about possible side effects, hopes she doesn’t turn into a zombie.
In truth, he hopes he gets his shot soon. As a high school math teacher who has had several students in his classes test positive for COVID and his son, our 2 1/2 yr old grandson, test positive due to another kid in daycare passing it on to him, he’s just about ready for anything they want to stick in his arm.

Looks like we will blow through your 325,000 estimate. I thought 300,000 by 12/31 would be a win....is 350,000 by New Year’s Day out of the question? 561,000 seems a reach. My common sense estimate is 475,000 by April 1, 2021. That would be about 470,000 on a trailing 12 month basis after the virus took hold here. I wonder if that number would have been lower if we made no effort to mitigate and just went for herd? Probably a lower number. It’s logical.wgdsr wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 4:31 pm ihme folks rolling out new projections today. up to 561k covid deaths by april 1 vs around 505k previous projections.

7 day average daily new cases in FL was 2,300 @ 10/4. 10,727 @ 12/18. Daily deaths was 93 @ 10/4. 100 @ 12/18 and rising.
At June 1 (one of the many times that Petey previously/wrongly called Mission Accomplished) it was 730 cases and 30 daily deaths.

No. Just other baseless lawsuits. I feel bad for those restaurants owners but we are dealing with a contagion. Until we get our arms around it, shut ‘em down until the risk is reduced.Cooter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:03 pmDid he have some coronavirus lawsuits? Old Petey went quiet around election time. I believe Covid got him...if not Covid-19, then it was Biden. He was also “Bandito”. Hope all is well and have a Merry Christmas.JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:31 pmHe hasn't posted on this thread FOR MONTHS. Stop trying to "put" one over on him. I think it is good to challenge the government and make them prove their decision was reasonable.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:29 pmNo. Just other baseless lawsuits. I been to a couple of pizza places at the 25% capacity mark, and one is pretty spread out from other customers.

Hopefully we will get back to that and them ratchet it back up as the spread dissipates. 25%, 50%, 75% and then hopefully 100%, depending on community spread....let’s get those hospitalizations down....Cooter wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 11:08 pmI think it is good to challenge the government and make them prove their decision was reasonable.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:29 pmNo. Just other baseless lawsuits. I'm actually quite a civil person, this is just my "forum" persona. Just simply tired of ggait rubbing in the face of a poster who doesn't even post on this site, and hasn't for QUITE SOME TIME. For whatever reason, that may be. If somebody that is clearly trying to rile him up (it's clear that all it is) he seemed to have done a number and still occupies prime real estate in ggait's head. That is purely my observation.ardilla secreta wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:53 pmHave you firebombed JHU72’s house yet?JoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 18, 2020 10:31 pmHe hasn't posted on this thread FOR MONTHS.
