That was sarcasm on my part, sorry I don't really use emojis like some folks here. To suggest Russia is no longer a threat completely mis-undrstands the modern economy. It comes often from a person who talks about engineering marvels from 40-60yrs ago in cars and trucks and insists that our problem is allowing China to mass produce low skill goods with cheaper labor (and some mid skill work in certain industries where they aren't hamstrung by legacy training of employees so even with less training and education have a clear mind to mold to do these functions at work - the reason some folks like to only hire people without significant experience in doing things a certain way and would rather have someone moldable over "experience"). Of course Russia is a threat. When you are top of the mountain everyone is a threat and to think otherwise is crazy. You think our friends in Europe or Latin America are content to be told how and what to do by the US? They just aren't willing to hurt mass population and do real dirt to get a leg up like our non friend countries.

I enjoy vintage cars, so what ? I drive new ones. You lived in EUrope. Compare how they protected their manufacturing base compared to US.

I think I've been pretty consistent that I don't follow Europe's lead in much of anything, perhaps some cultural elements, but certainly not on business or economics. Not to even mentioned how two faced you are with your occasional respect for Europe then diminishing those countries in the next sentence as it fits you.

But for crying about what I don't know about you, the same is true the other way, you only know what I've shared and posted. Just like I see through your posts. Enjoy the out years, don't get so angry that the world has passed you by, accept it and leverage what you can instead of this angry, deceitful and absurdly transparent hypocrisy on a plethora of issues. It's dishonest and therefor an assault on people who actually care to have a real discussion. The last part about personal experience couldn't be further from the truth, I mainly employ that type of consideration when it's pretty clear folks are talking about a topic/subject they have no real understanding of to call them out for prosyletizing on something with third party information only. The truth, like Heidegger described it with a parable about an Indian chief meeting his woman, is all the perspectives to some degree, though not equal.

I just read that report this morning. Election defense my ass, trump wants to take over control of the republican party. The very sad part is that he might actually succeed in doing so. That is pretty effing weird for a guy who was a democrat his entire life.

He’s treated that PAC money as his piggy bank (who knows about the legality of it) since prior to the last election. It was even narrated in the initial transition relationship between Trump and Chris Christie where he didn’t want Christie “spending any of his money” on it that they’ll figure it out on their own. That was specific transition funds too.

So he’s likely using it for personal benefit and won’t be able to raise the same type of money once the charade is over. It’s a money maker for him (in his eyes anyways).

I happen to know a number of ga politicians and haven’t been very impressed over the past 5 or so years but they’ve held up firmer than a lot to Trump which should be applauded, especially Raffensberger (Sec of St) but even Kemp who’s a pretty weak guy in general and ran hard off Trumps tip in his gubernatorial election himself. Same with Loeffler who you don’t see in plaid shirts for the runoff like you did in the initial election. They’re all running from trump here in Georgia now which may not be character filled but still a good thing.

I can't argue with you TLD. trump has proven his political career has been all about his making money. What has to end is his attempt to take over the political wing of the republican party. The republican party is screwed up enough. They should not have to complicate that with having trump trying to run the show. When trump can bring 150 million to the party, how do the republicans ignore him? Money talks, it always has.

BTW, notice Barr says "the Election", instead of "the hundreds of elections". Because, of course, the fraud could ONLY have happened to the Biden v. Trump part of those 50 ballots. Neat, right?
