Point 1: Republicans had the largest turnout in the modern history of the party. Democrats still won.

Point 2: Democrats in the House lost seats, but they still maintained their majority. The Democrats won at least 30 seats in districts won by Trump to achieve that.

Point 3: Against the largest turnout in modern Republican history, Democrats still managed to flip two Republican Senate seats (Colorado and Arizona), lost just one (in Alabama), and put themselves in position for a shot to win the majority with two runoffs in Georgia.

Point 4: President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris just won the most votes ever by a presidential ticket and flipped (probably) five states won by the incumbent President four years ago, including two cornerstone Red states (Arizona and Georgia).

All of that is immensely impressive.

Your Republican party will still have a "trump" problem in 2024. If he is not in jail or residing someplace in obscurity he is still going to try and weasel his way into who you folks run in 2024. He has the ear of 70 million people that voted for him. That has to frustrate all of the mainstream Republicans to no end.
