You really have to want to play lacrosse bad to leave Amherst for Ohio State unless he has graduated with eligibility.McGriff wrote: ↑Sun Sep 20, 2020 12:46 pmNow that rosters are up to include transfers and freshman, two Canisius Griffs that were in the portal have reportedly landed: M- Andrew Johnson, local boy from Amherst, has transferred to Ohio State where he will try and walk-on although is not currently listed on the Buckeye's current roster and G - Cade Talbert has returned home to Boise and I'm told he is done with lacrosse and is training to be a commercial pilot. Good luck to both former Griffs in their pursuits!cuseman4133 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 07, 2020 12:18 pm Made a number of additions to the list. Still not sure about Hobart's Delpha and Scott but I think they're both going to stay.

That's Amherst the town - suburb of buffalo, not Amherst College.

I updated Cole Boland and Logan Devereaux. They are both at Denver and on the team.

Been a while since we've last received some transfer portal update, but looks like Payton Cormier and Jonathan Donville just got added per Chris Jast Twitter: https://twitter.com/Chris_Jast/status/1 ... 1058288640

Re: Transfer Portal
Seems we need one for the 2022 transfers. I would not think there would be too much more movement for the 2021 season since many teams have posted their rosters.

Sure seems like it. Hofstra took down their post of him transferring to the school and he's not on the roster page.

Re: Transfer Portal
Looks like Justin Scott from Hobart is heading to Newark, DE to play with the Hens this Spring.
He will be a nice addition to the squad. 96 goals over 3.5 years.

Re: Transfer Portal
Damn.
I mean good for you. I don’t know the roster that well but know the elite guys like Kurtz,Kitchen and Robinson. You’re going to love Scott, he grew his game into a full two way midfielder in every respect. 6’2”, 200 (though if he has weakness it was consistently starting at maybe 210 and working his way into shape over the first 3-5 games each year, plus a few injuries), can run, has a cannon which when it’s on is lethal, but not always consistent. Became a strong gb guy and better feeder. Improved his defense tremendously. Soph yr was better than Jr year on shooting and he started strong in 2020 where I was really excited that he was going to have a season worthy of national recognition before Covid. You don’t really need him to but he’s capable of putting up a 45 goals season with a full green light (not necessarily recommended) but you’re really going to get 28-30,12-15,40-45pts, 30-40gbs and adequate defense.
Dammit.

Re: Transfer Portal
Interesting choice. Wonder if Brecht checked in on him. If coming this way, why not RU and join Kirst and Sprock to form a mid line as good as any.

Re: Transfer Portal
It was probably whoever could get him the visa easiest since that was the reason he didn’t come back to Bart.
Probably doesn’t hurt that DeLuca would've have seen him 1-2x at Cornell against us.
God kid, good athlete, was also a stud hockey player at Trinity Pawling

The CAA teams are definitely taking advantage of
“things”,
more is better is what I’m seeing,
assuming this season happens.
Re: Transfer Portal
This is potentially huge if the UNC biz school won't wave the admission standard of professional experience (have to wonder how much he's even interned if he's graduating in three years). I wonder what schools are even on his radar. I have to imagine he'd try to avoid ACC, Ivy and Patriot leagues are off the table for grad transfers. Options start to get scarce for a top flight b-school with a lacrosse team with legitimate tournament aspirations.AreaLax wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:37 pm Carolina’s Bowen Enters Transfer Portal, Weighing Graduate Options

Getting an MBA with no work experience is a waste of the bullet. I understand he’s extending his lacrosse career but would be better doing a graduate program tangential like Ms of Finance, accounting, etc.Laxxal22 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 8:46 amThis is potentially huge if the UNC biz school won't wave the admission standard of professional experience (have to wonder how much he's even interned if he's graduating in three years).
