Two changes for the Saints starting today:
(1) Limestone College no more, but now Limestone University
(2) Conference membership for most sports shifts to the South Atlantic Conference (stays in Conference Carolinas for Acrobatics and Tumbling, and for the two joint conference sports of field hockey and men's wrestling).
Certainly the Saints will get high consideration for the next season being the National Championship runner-ups...

Re: Limestone University 2021
Any news on Sundown or any other players and their status for returning next year?
Re: Limestone University 2021
No word on Sundown, and I have not seen any Saints on the transfer list that is being maintained in the DI area. Kendall Collins has said he is coming back, as well as Jake Crotser, but that was according to Twitter from Limestone Lacrosse back in late April.

2 solid JUCO transfers coming in from Harford CC too. A LSM (Greenstein) and goalie (Castro). I don't know what Limestone has in those areas, but saw both play at Harford and both were JUCO AAs. I'd think they could at least bolster depth and contribute to the team in a positive way next season, whatever their role.
Good kids too.

They’re also getting JUCO AA Owen Consoletti From Harford CC he’s a stud lefty attackmen! Might be foreshadowing on Sundown intentions.

I'm not an NCAA compliance officer so i'd rather not speculate on a person's eligibility without knowing the facts like: NCAA qualification history, school enrollment history, medical history, academic history, redshirt medical waivers, etc.
There are a lot of moving parts. And that's before you add in the new NCAA COVID waivers.
But generally speaking, as I understand it, I believe it's the first year you play a sport (in a sanctioned event) that the clock starts ticking. And I think the NCAA recently also changed that to be only games, no longer offseason scrimmages.

Re: Limestone University 2021
Congratulations to Walter Clark and Jordan Stouros for NLL draft selections.
https://golimestonesaints.com/news/2020 ... draft.aspx
Clark is expected to sign with Saskatchewan Rush after a round 3 #43 pick, and Storous, enrolled in the MBA program at Limestone (selected #23 by the Buffalo Bandits in the second round) is expected to play for the Saints next year before signing.
17th and 18th NLL selection for the Saints...

Re: Limestone University 2021
No, just saw he wasn’t listed on 21 roster. Maybe Young Harris but not sure.
Re: Limestone University 2021
Hearing from some players that Limestone has lost two assistants ... Coach Phelps (another school?) and Coach Campbell (career change).
Re: Limestone University 2021
You should note that Will Campbell is still listed as a coach, whereas Phelps is not, on the college website https://golimestonesaints.com/sports/me ... se/coaches

Sundowns at RIT
Campbell recently took a job in the private sector.
Lots of freshman and transfers on the roster.
Lost a lot of offense. Loaded at D though, goalie is a question mark.

there were lot of freshman and transfer last year. I think you are still looking at the 2020 roster data even though it may say 2021. Limestone usually doesn't update the freshman on internet roster until the season is about to start.lions89lax wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:12 am Sundowns at RIT
