The vaccines Moderna and AstraZeneca intend to place on the market make use of the the same fetal tissue culture used in the manufacture of Regeneron and Remdesivir.

So what say you church ladies, should we pull Orange Duce of these drugs, likely let him die? What about others who could benefit from these therapies and vaccines or will we make an exception only for Dear Leader?
You really are a MPOS.

from your article

“293Ts were used in testing the antibodies’ ability to neutralize the virus,” Alexandra Bowie, a spokeswoman for Regeneron, confirmed to the Times. “They weren’t used in any other way, and fetal tissue was not used in the research.
... Oh, so we are going to excuse it. Testing is part of the manufacturing process where I come from. So the fact that the fetal "derived" tissue is not part of the final witches brew, only used to test the efficacy, its OK. The fact that the test set is derived from "old" baby parts vitiates the fetal nature. OK by me. Just thought you guys would have an objection. Guess I was wrong. Carry on. As you were. Smoke if you got em.

The pharmaceutical industry is going to be glad to hear this.

Not that Science Cooter, the other science....you are so silly. ;)
Man, 6,000 is alot. What’s the denominator?

950,000 according to wiki. .6%. I wouldn’t say that’s very impressive.
But they are pretty much right.
So if this were the case then the excess deaths would need to be greater than the 200K see with covid 19? Is that what you are suggesting?
No, I believe they are talking mode about life-years lost.

Pack The Swamp? Gov. Ron DeSantis gives clearance for full capacity stadiums in Florida

Does anyone know the term for something bigger than a "superspreader" event?

Trump Is Squandering the Best Hope for Coronavirus Testing

"...these quick, cheap tests could help America overcome the pandemic. “The point people are really missing is: What is the alternative? The alternative is no testing. Most K–12 students are not getting tested,” Mina said. “Every time we can pull a positive person out of the population, we stop tens, hundreds, or thousands of cases.”

The alternative for Baird is obvious: keep going with the behavioral interventions that have helped at least slow the spread in the U.S. “I think the quintessential problem in the country is an imbalance of supply and demand of testing,” Baird said. “Mina’s solution is increasing supply. And I have a strong belief that decreasing demand will be the way to get there—masking, physical distancing, not having large events. And, unfortunately, absorbing the societal toll that all of those things take.”

While the surface of the debate is about the technological characteristics of these tests, the substance of it is about human behavior. As restrictions on daily life enter their seventh full month and winter draws near, will the countermeasures that have limited, but never contained, the virus’s spread remain in force? And if we add tests that generate imperfect information, will that embolden people to abandon commonsense safety precautions? No test—and no testing strategy—is perfect; we are living through a pandemic, and people will get sick. To believe that antigen testing can improve life in this country is to believe that people will understand the limits of a test result and act accordingly. With the right public messaging, perhaps they could."

Actually it does. People travel and spread the virus. It effects all of us....that’s why we are wearing masks and that is why the world was shut down.

You can't possibly be serious.

While I agree that each State must make their own choices, and that there is no such thing a "right move" in this pandemic...in other words, no matter what a Governor does, someone is hurt either financially or physically.

But don't tell us that you don't understand that viruses spread, and some kid is going to lose a grandmother over packing tens of thousands of people in close quarters.

Spoiler alert. Trump will test “negative” regardless of what the result actually says.

You guys really cant take a little dry humor. You don't need to add the last part, I am well aware of the seriousness of the virus and how it spreads. It was just a joke, but it did prove to me how quick some of you guys are to just throw numbers toward a poster whenever you sense THE SLIGHTEST possible somebody doesn't take it serious. That's not ok, its not your guys job to do that. Even if those in charge are not doing their job. There's no sense in getting angry about it happening or not happening. There's nothing anyone can do about it, if that's the decision that will be the decision. That was my facetious point.

You're lumping me in----I didn't throw one single number at you. I'm generally in agreement with what you've posted about the virus. There is no winning move as governors are trying to balance citizens' fiscal and mental health with their actual health. I'm glad I'm not a Governor in 2020....
