NPR: Some Black Americans Buying Guns: 'I'd Rather Go To Trial Than Go To The Cemetery'
Was at the LGS today and was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of minorities. Unsurprisingly most everyone else didn't have masks on or had their "pants" down though. C'est la vie.

Sign of things to come.
Democrats will seek to take your guns. They want you defenseless against their mobs.

Thank our lucky stars they did not use firearms.. That would have been really unacceptable. Those candlelight vigils sure make a world of difference.

Exactly right. With firearms, he could've taken out a LOT more people.
Glad you're finally seeing the light here, cradle.

Re: Sensible Gun Control
You would be surprised how much carnage a person can do with just a knife or something bigger. You don't have to stop and reload. You just have to keep on slashing. I suppose your correct. We should find some comfort knowing they had no guns. I am guessing that doesn't matter too much to the people that were butchered.

Oh no wait, there's a typo: it's actually "Gunmen storm Kabul University …"
No idea why they didn't realize knives were just as good.
Ditto for the terrorists in Austria. Jeez cradle, why d'ya think all these gun users are so dumb not to know that knives work just as well???

Hacking a person to death brings you up close and personal with your victim. It gives you a chance to bond and sort of become blood brothers. Anybody can pull a trigger, it takes guts to go eyeball to eyeball and watch the victim bleed out in front of you. It sort of gives you a Chris Matthews tingle down your pantleg. What true crazed murderer would pass up a golden opportunity like that?CU77 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 02, 2020 7:46 pmhttps://www.washingtonpost.com/world/as ... story.htmlKnifemen storm Kabul University in day-long assault, leaving at least 19 dead

They really need to reign that in.

Unfortunately, it took an actual insurrection in DC to force their hand. My state of origin is still too dominated by Rs that think that open carry is the answer to all of society's ills.CU88 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 2:17 pm Michigan Capitol Commission bans open carry

Re: Sensible Gun Control
Those concerned about gun control laws, get ready for more regulation. Prior to Wednesday I didn't think it was very likely. The people telling us guns aren't the problem, people (read African Americans) are the problem, turned out to be the people who are the real problem.

21M guns sold in 2020, up 60%. Women, black people top buyers
"Analysts estimate there were 8.4M first-time gun buyers in 2020"
A lot of scared people out there on both sides looking for protection. Unfortunately a few looking for offense too.

Interesting demographic. Scared of what is the $10,000 question. Protestors that we saw take over cities and towns, the left wanting to take guns away, the right wing nuts, or just sick of the gov. effing with us non-stop.holmes435 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 7:56 pm 21M guns sold in 2020, up 60%. Likely the latter.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Yes to all of the above. COVID really kicked off the buying and hoarding, then it snowballed. People scared of getting shot while going for a jog while black. Scared of ANTIFA. Scared of police breaking into your home unannounced. Scared of Beto saying "hell yes we want to take your AR". Scared of Trump saying "take the guns first, due process second." Scared of D's winning the election. Scared of Trumpists trying to overthrow the .govyouthathletics wrote: ↑Thu Jan 14, 2021 8:01 pmInteresting demographic. Scared of what is the $10,000 question. I bought a new 9mm braced pistol a few months ago just because it's fun to shoot. Reminds me, I need to get back out to the skeet / trap range soon, I haven't been in a while.
