HARRISBURG - On Monday, September 21, 2020, at the request of Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, the Office of the United States Attorney along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Scranton Resident Office, began an inquiry into reports of potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots at the Luzerne County Board of Elections.
Since Monday, FBI personnel working together with the Pennsylvania State Police have conducted numerous interviews and recovered and reviewed certain physical evidence. Election officials in Luzerne County have been cooperative. At this point we can confirm that a small number of military ballots were discarded. Investigators have recovered nine ballots at this time. Some of those ballots can be attributed to specific voters and some cannot. All nine ballots were cast for presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Our inquiry remains ongoing and we expect later today to share our up to date findings with officials in Luzerne County. It is the vital duty of government to ensure that every properly cast vote is counted.

Let's be clear, this is NOT the sort of fraud that is being claimed by Trumpists and FoxNation, OAN, the Russians, etc as widespread 'rigging' of the election, the notion that millions of ballots will be sent in by non-voters, false identities, foreigners, etc.

Rather, this appears to be merely an error of confusion between different types of envelopes, and quite likely was not an attempt to discard ballots of one candidate but not the other.

"Workers, he wrote, explained that the envelopes used for mail ballot requests were so similar to the ones used for returned mail ballots that they believed they would miss requests if they preserved all the envelopes unopened."

The error was found and reported, and is being rightfully investigated to be sure nothing actually nefarious had occurred. As it should be.

Twisting this as more in order to sow doubt in the integrity of the American election process feeds Putin's aims.

The big story here is who leaked the fact that the votes (allegedly) were for Trump? That violates about every law and policy on the books. Seems obvious that the Trump administration intentionally (illegally) leaked this detail in order to play into their “theory” about election “fraud.”

I know what athletes look like and I know what recruiting looks like. How do I know? We were teammates that's how I know. He was selected as the top sophomore in a real basketbll state. He was a Street & Smith All American going into his senior year of HS but he as on fumes and living off of his reputation by then. I was talking to a friend just yesterday about high school recruiting in the old days and me hearing a voice that said "Hey young man" and I turned around and it was Earl Bruce...... He wanted to know if I knew where another one of my teammates was that he was recruiting. I would be shocked if you did not know his name. I have been around "real" athletes most of my life. I have no reason to lie.

BTW, my son went through "recruiting" for two sports.... I know a little about it
