Jake Matthai, Evan Connell, and Will McBride all played a ton and were major contributors for that UNC championship team.runrussellrun wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 6:51 am When Denver won.......don't recall ONE MIAA player that contributed. UNC's championship run? Or even last year, besides the Kelly connection, who from the MIAA plays for the Tar Heels? Not on the roster, but steps on the field?
What are you even trying to argue? That MIAA players don't get on the field for championship-caliber teams? Have you ever heard of Ryan Conrad? Alex Rode? Jackson Morrill? Colin Heacock? Deemer Class?
Of course there is lots of good lacrosse being played in New England. Not sure what that has to do with the MIAA. Both places can and do regularly produce excellent college players.
Switching gears for a bit...
Ernie did a YouTube interview with Epstein, Williams, and DeSimone the other night. Not a whole lot worth mentioning—it was mostly a catch up about how they're dealing with the pandemic and they talked a bit about the infamous MSM game before the season being cut short. They did, however, seem genuinely excited about the energy from the new staff and in particular the offense they plan to run. No concrete details but Joey confirmed it's influenced by Canadian-style concepts. Cole seemed pumped to get to learn directly from Junior, whom I believe is now officially in Baltimore.
And more fodder for the Mabbett truthers: Cole said he probably has the fastest shot on the team. They also had very good things to say about Murphy and Degnon.
