2019 Virginia Public GLAX

Post by Dr. Tact »

Thought we could start the topic. I am assuming that after the upcoming first weekend of Woodson Fall Ball, folks will hear about FanLax and will come over here.....UAO, Backstreets, etc....

Reaching out to the ether for UAO... I saw a certain HS staff scouting Fall Ball :? ....Is there really any benefit to scouting in Fall?

Just a teaser to see if I can get him to appear....

Is there anybody out there.....

Well, Fall Ball is over...Any observations? And before I make mine, IT'S FALL BALL AND IT DOESN'T MATTER

saw 3 or 4 Robo games. Looks like they are still young fielding 3 teams....Should be better this year, are they back? who knows.. IT'S FALL BALL AND IT DOESN'T MATTER They do have alot of talented Freshmen. Future looks good for the Rams.

Waiting for the real season to start in the Spring. Although with the new St. James now doing indoor winter leagues, we will see how those play out and how teams do in the new environment.

NOW Fall Ball is done. 5A state champ Freedom looked dominant against P Falls. Dominion won back-to-back games via large margins against Oakton and the host team.

Hey Doc T -

I caught some of the later games. I think I saw WTW wearing white in the Varsity elite semis, but I didn't see the end of that game, so not sure how they finished.

Yorktown won Varsity open in a braveheart over South County. That was a nice match-up of VA publics to end the day. How did the other VA publics fair in the elite division?

Watched the Robo games and some of the BI games. Robinson brought 21 players to a 7v7 tourney. So, they looked a little incohesive...Not sure that you can gain any measure of that team from what they showed on Sunday.

I'm not sure who won Elite, but of what I saw, these teams looked good - Riverside, BI (both teams), Woodson

And another forecast rainy day for yet another 7v7 tourney....I hope the rain holds off and cold and wet is not fun....Teams playing in the Elite in the afternoon...
  • Oakton
    BI
    South County
    Robo
    C'ville
    West Po

    BI
    Holy Child
    Woodson
    Langley
    Madison
    Whitman
Guess one of the BI teams if not both end up in the finals.

I think have seen him at various Fall Ball events, but have not had a chance to discuss the website with him.

yes it was cold, but unlike last year no torrential rain....Not sure who won the different divisions as I left before the end, but I am going to bet BI won the elite....
