Re: 2020 Coaching Carousel
Thinking both schools are trying to keep it under the radar. Spalding had a guy leave a start up after a few months and then grabbed a Coach who had only been a head for 3 months at Huntingdon before leaving. This will be Huntingdon's 4th head coach in 2ish years.

Heard a rumor that they may be bringing back Carey. Anyone hear anything similar?

Exactly what is it that makes guys like Acevedo qualified to be a Head Coach??
Way to many guys like this at the helm in the NCAA lacrosse...

I heard the old Hunt. coach was going to take over young harris........ seems like a good angle?? Already built a program, give a little money and focus on attracting the right players to YHC

What doesn't make him qualified though? I would be curious to hear your "qualifications" . Specifically qualifications for a start up program.... Just wanted to see what the room was thinking on this......River Donkey wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 11:59 am Exactly what is it that makes guys like Acevedo qualified to be a Head Coach??

Re: 2020 Coaching Carousel
show me the bio of a "qualified" candidate. I am just curious to see what you're thinking. He played for a startup program as a player. He worked under a coach who started a program for two years........ That alone at least makes him "qualified" to start a d3 program in Louisville, KY..... Not asking him to start a program in PA, MD, VA, NJ, NY or anything of that...... Feel like you're missing the mark on this - or you applied for the job and didn't get a sniff?? Its not what ya know its who ya know anyway

With Head Coaches like the this, Lacrosse will never get the respect they so desperately seek and always be viewed as a niche sport in areas of the country where lacrosse has not gained a stronghold. In other words the game will always be viewed as a “B” sport and not attract the best athletes, only the kids who get cut from baseball. I’m assuming you were one these athletes Mario.

just want to see an example of a coach they should have hired............ seems like you have some pent up animosity towards the decision. You probably had your turn, didn't do the job, and YOU GOT CUT - for the freshman. I am assuming u were one of these athletes Swamp Donkey? Maybe he will fail and you can say "I told ya so" but until you show me who SHOULD have been hired I think we best wait to see if you get that moment.River Donkey wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:12 pm With Head Coaches like the this, Lacrosse will never get the respect they so desperately seek and always be viewed as a niche sport in areas of the country where lacrosse has not gained a stronghold. For example..... LMU not going with the two other over qualified candidates is egregious. Seems like they went cheap as they cut scholarships also. Until you toss me that kind of argument you just sound like the JR that got CUT for the freshman.......
