And it is clear that he sees those who oppose his political stances as "enemies" rather than people who disagree with him. What is amazing is the projection here - he is arguing that the very thing he tends to do (demonize the "other" side and fear them) is what he is always accusing the other side of doing. Or claiming that someone different than himself is incapable of being trusted, so he can dismiss their opinions as worthless solely because they belong to that "other" side.
