Happy to! But I am really waiting on my Moderna vaccine (mid-November) 'cause i have a vested interest there.

I have no fear. Which is why I vote Republican.

I thought you had a direct pipeline from Russia, Petey.
But hey, why haven't you already taken the Moderna vaccine?...they need guinea pigs.

You boy Trump is on tape from last night saying he has fear.

And last April 13 calling it the "plague".

Take it up with your Russian asset, Caputo, 6ft.

This table gets updated much later (again, talk to Caputo and ask him why).
We've previously discussed the slow updating at CDC, trailing their daily reporting by a wide margin.

I linked the CDC's day to day tik tock for you. the average daily is greater than what you are trying to cite as if reality.

Of course, if your point is that the CDC's data being reported out on its website is understating reality, my apologies...we agree, Caputo is an a-hole.

On your 3.8 million sq. miles, I also responded to that one, which is just as accurate as the distance sea to sea and border to border, and just as irrelevant.

We're among the leaders in the world in deaths per million pop and still cranking hard. There will be worse among less developed, and densely populated, countries but we're leading the way...

Not because our elected leader didn't know that Covid is 5X deadlier than the flu, transmits through the air, or is "the plague", but because he and his minions decided to lie to the American public about it and to ignore their own scientists' advice and published guidelines. And a whole bunch of Americans bought the lie.

Interesting stuff. I have yet to access the actual paper in Cell, looking forward to that. In the mean time here is a quick explanation from the AAAs on it. https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases ... 091120.php

It should be noted that this was tested in Mice........sometimes things work great in mouse models and not so great in human's. Not that it is going to happen here but it does happen. I am hopeful this provides some type of relief. It certainly looks promising from their release..... ;)

Edit: Interesting side note........this article was received way back in May and just revised to be accepted. They must have pushed further since May, it will be real interesting to see what comes of this.
hopefully they have since may. 4 months is a long time in 2020.

So much for being the the country with the most freedom....We have imprisoned more people than any other country on the planet (per capita).

The countries with the highest prison population rate – that is, the number of prisoners per 100,000 of the national population – are the United States (655 per 100,000), followed by El Salvador (604), Turkmenistan (552).

Here’s your help!

How to calculate per capita
Determine the number that correlates with what you are trying to calculate. ...
Determine how many people are in the population that you want to measure. ...
Divide the measurement by the total number of people in the population. ...
For smaller measurements, multiply the total by 100,000.

come on, 6ft, please explain to us all why the geographic size of our country is either an advantage or a disadvantage in addressing the pandemic.

Please explain its relevance.

There are certainly other countries with comparable geographic mass that have fared leagues better than the US. Size didn't get in the way.

You say "freest society"...let's not quibble with whether that's 100% true or not as in "most free', certainly you and I value "freedom" and would not trade a totalitarian system for our own...so let's not argue over whether we're "freest".

However, there are also numerous quite "free" countries which have performed far better.

Heck, there's a big, free society directly to our north that also has slightly more land mass than the US...yet way, way better performance.

We know why we've done so poorly.

It's not because we have a lot of land mass, nor that we're a "free society"...it's because too many listened to a particular leader in power, who made a colossal error in not trusting the American people to react constructively, together, in a crisis if/when told the truth, and instead actually encouraged the opposite of what the scientists recommended (and other, more successful, countries did).

Let's be clear, we've seen totalitarian societies do quite well against the virus and others miserably. Totalitarianism is not the solution.

Smart, effective government leadership is what matters.
We were betrayed by our President's awful judgment and instincts in a crisis.
AND the knuckleheads who chose to ignore the scientists out of some twisted notion of fealty to the President.

Prove it.

Did you hear Dr Faucci.

He saw NO DIFFERENCE between what they (the experts) were telling Trump and what Trump was telling the American people.

Read your words...??? or listen to Tony Fauci?

Fauci (not Q) has repeatedly differentiated what the experts advised and what Trump said and did instead. Again and again and again...just did so again this week.

He's been walking a tightrope with Trump, but this isn't a remotely close call.
