Distance from east coast to west coast 2600 miles
Distance from Canada to Mexico 2400 miles
3.8 MILLION square miles.
330+ million people
According to the CDC How many Chinese Virus deaths 8/29-9/5—
678
huh?
The CDC shows a 7 day average of 843 as of Sept 5.
Heck, Florida alone had a daily average of 101 as of Sept 5, over 700 deaths that particular week you chose...
They're averaging 109 as of today...
Why would you suggest otherwise?
Did you get that from you QAnon twitter feed, maybe?

Be careful with the math. It might be confusing.
FU again

On your 3.8 million sq. miles, I also responded to that one, which is just as accurate as the distance sea to sea and border to border, and just as irrelevant.
Irrelevant?
The third largest country on the planet with the freest society. Irrelevant.
It would have to be for your opinion to be relevant
come on, 6ft, please explain to us all why the geographic size of our country is either an advantage or a disadvantage in addressing the pandemic.
Please explain its relevance.
There are certainly other countries with comparable geographic mass that have fared leagues better than the US. Size didn't get in the way.
You say "freest society"...let's not quibble with whether that's 100% true or not as in "
most free', certainly you and I value "freedom" and would not trade a totalitarian system for our own...so let's not argue over whether we're "freest".
However, there are also numerous quite "free" countries which have performed far better.
Heck, there's a big, free society directly to our north that also has slightly more land mass than the US...yet way, way better performance.
We know why we've done so poorly.
It's not because we have a lot of land mass, nor that we're a "free society"...it's because too many listened to a particular leader in power, who made a colossal error in not trusting the American people to react constructively, together, in a crisis if/when told the truth, and instead actually encouraged the opposite of what the scientists recommended (and other, more successful, countries did).
Let's be clear, we've seen totalitarian societies do quite well against the virus and others miserably. Totalitarianism is not the solution.
Smart, effective government leadership is what matters.
We were betrayed by our President's awful judgment and instincts in a crisis.
AND the knuckleheads who chose to ignore the scientists out of some twisted notion of fealty to the President.
