Would be curious to learn more about the faculty mentor at Laf...
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Looks to me that almost every senior you’d want
back, has returned.
I gotta say. Hats off to Charley and MVA.

That's some good student athlete retention.

You start to see kids drop off the D1 teams as JRs and Srs.

Loyola has 10+ in each class. Kids sticking with it.

Nice work.

Might there be a correlation between retention and a lack of recruiting 8th graders?????

Oh they are still recruiting 8th graders..we just don't hear (as much) about it. :o

Delaware has a pretty large roster for the DeLuca era (51 players) including 17 new players. The new additions include three transfers (Demetrius Stevenson [Rutgers], Nick Jessen [Lafayette] and Drew Lenkaitis [Vermont]), a couple last-minute additions (JP Ward - McDonogh attackman who previously committed to Mercer and Jake Spaniak - FOGO from Bayard Rustin in West Chester, PA) and the original 12 recruits.

As far as other notable changes from last year's roster, the Hens lost two players (Wade Oursler SSDM - Gilman/University of Maryland and Mason Marano FOGO). Oursler was injured all of last season but was a physical force at SSDM after transferring from Maryland. Marano never really got an opportunity to play last year behind Jake Hervada, Roland Hockenberry and Joe Lenskold. Hens added two more FOGOs this year (Logan Premtaj and Spaniak) so there should be a ton of competition there.

It will be interesting to see how many newcomers will get a chance to play this coming spring without competing in a traditional fall session. The biggest opportunities for playing time for new additions will probably come from offensive midfield and goaltending. Hens have strength, depth and experience at close defense (Grant, McCormick, Wasson, Hoffman), LSM (Shaw,Dion, Hurley, Bayer), SSDM (St. Geme, Seiter, Reed Kurtz, Ewing) and attack (Kitchen, Robinson, Tye Kurtz) so it will be very difficult, but not impossible, to break through in those spots.

Hopefully, we will see some action in the spring.

I don’t think you can use the 2021 rosters for this because of the added 5th year returners, but overall for any other year having 10-12 seniors on your roster is a sign of good coaching. Those are the teams you want your kids on.

BU roster up. Details posted on BU Lacrosse thread. 15 freshman and two transfers with only one 5th year staying on. Looks like Polley focused on developing strong sophomore and freshman classes.

Canisius Golden Griffs are up and posted. Freshman and transfers included:

https://gogriffs.com/sports/mens-lacrosse/roster

Does it mean anything that not one of the 6 seniors returned? I'm kind of surprised being honest after seeing how many seniors have returned to most every school as far as I've seen reported on these boards and on '21 rosters being posted.

Looks like most teams will run between 55-60 players. Should make for a very competitive fall and more unhappy benchwarmers.

A couple underclassmen didn’t come back either. Didn’t see anything on them transferring but may have missed it
