My town did a similar thing 15 years ago. A number of “Nipper” statues were made in honor of the guy who created the original Nipper who lived in our town. Most were sold off, but a few remain around town.

He's pretty darn good around the iron too. Little goal tending going on but the focus and willingness to sacrifice the body is something else. Coolest cat I've ever seen.

Definitely some three second violations on that other cat who one assumes is the opponent.

Checked the rulebook, but couldn’t figure out what the rule is when a defensive player’s body goes entirely through the hoop after blocking a shot.
