I'm hearing rumors that Elizabethtown might be looking for a new HC. Anyone else talking about this right now?

Pierzynksi is a great coach, that would be a huge blow to the E’town program.

Any word on where Burke from Spalding is going?

Bellarmine is looking for an assistant, could be an easy move.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see more movement and more coaches getting out of the profession (at least at the college level).

if its bellarmine it would be a quick hire they just posted so I would not think it was there. Would a Mid level DI pay that much more then a DIII Head position? maybe

Great point, I could see the money being pretty similar. Maybe after coming from D2 he would want to get some scholarships to throw around? Just seems curious to start the program and leave before you get to work with the team you brought in.

I only brought it up because Jacksonville moved extremely quickly. I think that job was only up for a week or so (I can't find the initial link so I could be wrong). A lot of times the position is already "filled" but the school policy is to post it and take some applications.

agree, but really he wasn't really there long enough to recruit anyone, that is also the problem with hiring younger coaches who have been at the higher levels they don't realize DIII is different and you don't have that money to give kids.
I did not realize Jacksonville already had their post down.

Elizabethtown College head men's lacrosse coach Chris Perzinski has stepped down from his position after four successful years to take the position of defensive coordinator at Division I Jacksonville University.

Weird or how bad is it at Spalding, you go from being a Head Coach to taking a Volunteer Asst position, interesting.

That is a very very good question.

The only defense I can muster is that many times D1 volunteer assistants can make a lot more money by running prospect days/camps and traveling to tournaments. A lot of the showcases/tournaments will give D1 coaches a lot more than D3/D2 coaches.

He will probably just volunteer for the fall and see if anything pops up in the Spring or next fall. Many times these guys are locked into apartment leases as well so I'm guessing he had to stay in Louisville area

Lets call a spade well............ A SPADE. I think Spalding is VERY happy to get out of this first hire. The guy had 8 months and less than 5 commits. COVID saved the program because they get more time. Spalding is a VERY well funded school (athletically) and they will better turn their attention to a guy who can do the D3 thing and grind. Not just a name hire who coached as an assistant on memorial day weekend.

Did anyone hear if Eastern Nazarene hired a new HC? Knew they posted something in February about it and haven't heard anything since.

I last saw him as a player, never really meet him, but wish him all the best. The Petrals have a long way to go but over the last 5 - 6 seasons they have made progress. Still a program that needs to get more backing to get competive.
