Great hire. CP is one of the good guys. He has worked his way up the coaching ladder. Good for him and good for Jacksonville.

GRANELLI RISES TO ROLE OF OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR
Jacksonville University men's lacrosse announced the promotion of Tyler Granelli to Offensive Coordinator on Tuesday.
Head Coach John Galloway chose to elevate his longtime assistant due to the relationships he has built and diligence to the offensive scheme over his time at JU.
"I am excited for the opportunity to take on the role of offensive coordinator here at Jacksonville University," said Granelli. "I would like to thank Coach Galloway, as it has been an honor and pleasure to work alongside him during my time here.
"I would also like to thank President Cost and Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert for the support that they have shown me and our program."
Granelli joined the staff as an assistant when Galloway took over as head coach prior to the start of the 2017 season and has worked hard to build up the men's lacrosse program at Jacksonville ever since. He has worked closely with an offense that has continually improved over the last four seasons.
"Tyler has deserved an opportunity to put his stamp on the identity of our offense," said Galloway. "Over the years, he has invested his time with our guys to gain their trust and develop their skills and confidence on the field."
He helped JU to a five-win improvement in 2018, his second year on the staff, and an appearance in the SoCon Tournament Championship game. Just last season, despite the shortened campaign due to the coronavirus pandemic, he guided freshman Jacob Greiner to SoCon Offensive Player of the Week after his performance in a win at Marquette and tutored him to a spot on the College Crosse/SB Nation All-Freshman Team.
"He has a knack for creativity and has jumped in head first with this year's talented group to begin building our identity on the offensive end," said Galloway. "I look forward to watching our offense flourish under his tutelage, and know that the guys are ready to work with him."
Granelli was a three-time All-American and a three-time National Champion at Salisbury, where he started his coaching career as a graduate assistant. He also spent time on staff at Randolph-Macon, and most recently before JU, Florida Southern.
"I've been lucky enough to be surrounded by not only great mentors and leaders here at JU, but unbelievable young men that bring joy to my life on a daily basis," said Granelli. "I am thrilled to continue building life-long relationships with the current and future men of the Jacksonville lacrosse program."

Nice, solid performance against Bellarmine to start the season. Is this the year the Dolphins break through with a final record that has several more wins than losses?

Any info on Jacob Greiner? Injured? Haven't seen him in either game.
