You win the lottery, do you mail in the ticket or hand carry it?
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

More direct to your question: I voted, yet again, in Colorado a few weeks back.....didn't show a soul my Colorado ID.

The incident of “voter fraud” is vanishing low compared to the likelihood of contracting coronavirus and yet these clowns don’t care!

I went in last week to roll over my 401K into an IRA. My bank guy has know me for years. The bank policy still required me to show him my ID before he put the wheels in motion. You can know your customer but you still have to abide by bank policy. IMO this bank policy is a very good idea. It guarantees as much as possible that everybody involved in a transaction knows the person they are dealing with is actually the person they are dealing with. It would seem to be a policy grounded in common sense. Everybody has their own opinion about what common sense is.

It depends on the transaction. You didn’t mention what the transaction was. I know this for a fact...... I know more about bank KYC policies than you do just as I know that you know more about the refrigerator business than I do. What is actually better than an ID, is actually knowing your customer which goes beyond recognizing their face. New account openings require ID. Lots of things in banking require ID. More of it post 9/11 than pre 9/11.

It was a rollover from a 401K to an IRA. I have no doubt you know more about bank transactions than I will ever know.

Isn't it weird how a coronavirus death rate of 1% is plenty low to OPEN EVERYTHING, but meanwhile voter fraud incidence of 0.000001% means END VOTE BY MAIL?

Remember when Trump lied before the 2016 election there was gonna be widespread fraud and lied after the election saying millions of votes were fraudulent? Remember when his own commission found no widespread fraud?

Same sh!t, different day.

I also remember when some guy named Obama stated it was ludicrous that the Russians could ever influence an American election. ;)

i guess both sides are playing a different version of the same game.

Link? All I can find is Obama responding to Trump's claims of a rigged election, saying our system couldn't be rigged en masse because it's decentralized and because of the sheer volume of votes.

After your edit, and from the article you posted:

“None of this should be a big surprise,” Obama said, “Russia trying to influence our elections dates back to the Soviet Union.”

There's a difference in hacking and rigging votes fraudulently vs. buying up ads and pushing fake news to influence an election.

What all of you here on this forum are whining about, those of you of a democrat persuasion, is that the republicans are better cheaters than you. I am 100% positive that the democrats are doing everything in their power to outcheat the republicans in 2020. :D If you can find a way to stop Joe from opening his mouth, you folks will probably pull it off.

Laughable...

U.S. Deeply Concerned by Belarus Election, Clashes: White House
By Reuters
Aug. 10, 2020, 2:00 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON — The United States is concerned about the election in Belarus and urges the government to refrain from use of force, the White House said on Monday, amid clashes with protesters in that country.

"We're deeply concerned by the Belarus presidential election," White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said at a briefing. "Severe restrictions on ballot access for candidates, prohibition of local independent observers and polling stations, intimidation of opposition candidates and then detention of peaceful protesters and journalists have marred the process and we urge the Belarusian government to respect the right to peaceably assemble and to refrain from the use of force."
