IMO this is not a race war. This is a battle of different ideologies that cross many different spectrums. Race is only one of the pawns being used by both sides in the chess game. There has to be a breaking point at some point in time. I don't know what that will be. The status quo is getting our nation no where fast.

My son is white, my daughter in law is black. My grandchildren will be loved because of who they are, not the color of their skin. If this is a race war, I am going to be a conscientious objector.

There are at least two claimed witnesses to the event, and initial ID apparently by NYT affiliated reporter familiar with Portland PD.
