It's hard to equate some random Democratic nutjob woman with a very specific Republican nutjob POTUS, but I suppose if it serves your purposes there is some useful equivalency.Peter Brown wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 1:54 pmdislaxxic wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 1:47 pm Au contraire, Kram m'boy. Craziness needs to be exposed and called out whenever possible. This example is (another) one that is not some simple disagreement over policy. This president DOES NOT truck in the truth, period. He trots out bromides..."good news" wrapped up in the mantle of a person in a position of immense power to persuade... in keeping with what repeatedly looks like his over-riding need to "think positive" and weave a (false) narrative that attempts to make his worldview "real".
It is NOT real. It is NOT truth. His job carries a responsibility to tell the truth and act responsibly. He has absolutely done neither, especially with respect to this pandemic.
See if you can argue that what is happening in Florida and Texas, among other places, is NOT the DIRECT result of his tragically flawed need-to-be-positive-and-right-all-the-time, a corollary of his "Very Serious Genius" approach to governance.
Crazy is as Crazy does. It needs to be called what it is.

Dislaxx wants craziness called out "whenever possible". Does he have the time for me to roll out a couple million videos of Democrats?!?>
Here is a Democratic nutjob woman telling two little 6 year girls that she hopes the little ones die because their mom isn't wearing a mask:

I agree. Swan is one smart cookie. Don't see the percentage in agreeing to an interview with him.seacoaster wrote: ↑Wed Jul 29, 2020 12:41 pm You have to wonder why Trump ever gives an interview to anyone but OAN captives:
I guess I can see why he would do Fox News, and maybe he thinks he has to do Wallace, not Hannity, but all he seems to do in these interviews is create material for the Lincoln Project and Sarah Cooper.
The only thing that makes sense to me is that it's because he knows he's well behind. He has to throw a few Hail Marys. But if New Boy Bill is advising him to give interviews like this, his tenure as campaign chairman may last as long as the Mooch's stint as communications director.
Still waiting to hear how Stone is being deployed. Hope some intrepid journalists are on the case.

The Pettiness of Donald Trump
This month, Trump removed portraits of the younger Bush and Clinton that were hanging prominently in the White House and moved them to a room used to store tablecloths and unused furniture.

Hmm. Maybe this creates a precedent of sorts. Trump’s portrait could at some point be moved to the White House dumpster.

Federalist Society co-founder says Trump’s tweet about postponing the election is grounds for ‘immediate impeachment’
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... r-BB17oc9Y
Federalist Society co-founder Stephen Calabresi said that President Trump’s tweet suggesting to postpone the election is “fascistic” and “grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment.”
“Until recently, I had taken as political hyperbole the Democrats’ assertion that President Trump is a fascist,” Calabresi wrote in an op-ed for the New York Times. “But this latest tweet is fascistic and is itself grounds for the president’s immediate impeachment again by the House of Representatives and his removal from office by the Senate.”
So good to see a right winger express some form of principle.

Joe Scarborough Addresses Trump Supporters
You have echoed lies and defended demagoguery. It must sting to still be defending Trump.
... Trump remembers how you ran interference for him when he claimed unlimited powers under Article II of the Constitution, so he thinks you will stay quiet. Remember your silence after Charlottesville? You eventually mustered the nerve to claim Trump never preached moral equivalence between torch-carrying Nazis and protesters. How unthoughtful it was of David Duke to expose you by praising the president’s putrid performance and thanking Trump for his “honesty and courage to tell the truth.” The former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard even bragged to reporters that Charlottesville represented a “turning point” for white nationalism. “We are going to fulfill the promises of Donald Trump,” Duke proclaimed. “That’s why we voted for [him].”
... If you had a political soul after that shameful stunt, the Cold Warrior in you would have been as sickened by Trump’s retreat from Germany as U.S. strategists were over his ceding of Syria to Vladimir Putin, handing Moscow a foothold in the Middle East for the first time since 1973. No country was a closer ally during the Cold War than West Germany, and no nation is more critical to Europe’s future now than a unified Germany. Undermining the U.S.-German alliance because of an ignorant misunderstanding of NATO’s dues structure undermines the historic work that Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush completed throughout the Cold War’s final years.
But there you are, silently supporting a demagogue who sits by while intelligence suggests Russia’s leader put bounties on the heads of young American troops. Trump instead plays Putin’s apologist by declaring the United States equally guilty.
“Well, we supplied weapons when they were fighting Russia, too,” Trump said of our efforts to liberate Afghanistan from the Soviet invasion some 40 years ago.
... You still refuse to criticize the Trump team’s use of material stolen by Russia during the last month of the campaign, just like you and your president continue turning a blind eye to any Russian bounties.
None dare call it treason, but perhaps one day they will.
