I think psychologists are describing psychopaths, sociopaths, and people with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder. i.e. People who have literally zero empathy. there are plenty of people who have some empathy who don't fall into this category who "lack empathy". As for your second comment, agreed. Beyond words to me.
Agreed, some on are on a spectrum of 'lack of empathy'...it's discouraging how many this actually appears to be.

Make contraceptives freely available to all, including children entering puberty, with sex education for all...oh yeah, this really isn't about 'empathy' for the 'unborn'...

Pay attention—liberal progressives don't use "Unborn" it's "Products of conception"

Dehumanized enough to preclude empathy.

I don't even understand MD's reply. Is he saying he's never empathetic to the unborn, or that he needs more condoms and porn videos so no one gets preggers?

And it would help if the sex education was not the now all too common ones based on the unrealistic notion of abstinence for everyone (which may be a fine ideal but breaks down in the real world).

My late wife was certified in health education, and my daughter is a physician, so I have some knowledge in this arena just by association with them. When the county I live in was forced by the state to start offering human sexuality education (required by the state, but not actually happening), they chose the worst possible curriculum - one based on scaring kids that sex before marriage would cause certain male appendages to fall off...

My wife, as the only certified health educator in the county, was part of the training - which she said was a joke. The woman in charge was in her late 40s, dressed like she was going out on a date after college classes to the dive bar, and kept hinting that her husband still found her sexy...

Curriculum was way short on correct science/medicine...

6 1/2 games up with 12 to play. Chico Ruiz steals home with Frank Robinson at the plate.

That pretty much explains why I have been scarred for life.

Johnny Callison, who was my favorite player as a kid. Johnny was the MVP of the All-Star game in 1964, hitting a three run home run late in the game to win it for the National League.

Yes, Ashburn had retired by then. His last season was in 1962 for the Mets where he was managed by Casey Stengel.

After his playing career, Richie became a long time broadcaster for the Phillies. Boy, did he have some great Casey Stengel stories.

I believe " unviable tissue mass" is what FLP prefer to call murdered babies. With a salad and a nice white wine that is a very palatable terminology far the FLP folks. It is not like there is money to be made selling the unwanted parts of dead babies. :!:
