That means the ICU would be at around 75% "full" without v-19 ?
Hospitals, like prisons, weren't designed to be empty, btw.
Correct, which is why the possibility of exponential growth of C19 cases is so dangerous, and why mitigation efforts like masks and social distancing are so important.
Masks do two things: perpetuate fear and accustom the people to obedience. Masks simply prolong the agony of a virus. .
Humans are built to develop herd immunity which can’t develop rapidly if people shelter and mask up.
What a clown car the left has become. I’d rather they loot stores and break statues than control health policy.
The stupidity of this post is almost -- almost -- hard to believe.
PB has shown us daily this sort of idiocy, all in the name of Trumpism.
When people say 'it can't happen here in America' you only need to look at how absolutely stupid the brown shirts, 'real Americans', for Trump are, with the truly evil 'smart' folks around him enabling Der Leader.
I’m that rare ‘Trumpist’ that only MD can find, the guy who says Joe Biden isn’t a bad cat and life for me wouldn’t change at all if he won. Oh also, I thought Obama was a great POTUS. I am some kind of Trumpist!!!
Meanwhile, in the aisle of Actual Dishonesty, we are still hunting for MD’s first ever positive post about a conservative Republican as MD says he’s a “Republican”. Could you at least say something positive about Tim Scott?
Already have.
I posted that in the resurrection of the GOP post the ignominious defeat of Trumpism, Tim Scott may well have a bright, and important future. The stain of Trumpism may be too much to overcome, but I'd want Scott to be a player in the resurrection.
And nobody believes you aren't voting for Trump again PB, nor that you ever thought Obama was a great POTUS.
Holy Molies there MD, I can't wait to read PBs reply.
IMO Obama is a decent an honorable man. He is a FLP in his heart and soul. He proved that when he said he would govern and decide with his pen and his cell phone. He didn't give two chits about what the republicans wanted. He wanted what he wanted. There is nothing wrong with that, he was POTUS for 8 years. He was in charge of the vision he had for this nation. His vision was not anything I agreed with by and large. BHO is the prototypical politician. He is a magician when it comes to spinning his words. He is as nice guy and a gifted speaker as you will ever find. After he is done blowing smoke up your ass you still have to wipe the pixie dust out of your eyes and realize who he really is. He has his own vision for what he wants America to be. If you disagree... well he had his phone and his pen to do what he wanted to do all along.
I voted for McCain and Romney. I think both would have been excellent Presidents.
But I do think Obama was about as good a President as I could ask for while disagreeing with various policies. And indeed, he may go down as a 'great POTUS' not merely a major historical turning point. Time will tell.
But absolutely no one on here believes that PB isn't voting for Trump or actually thought or thinks Obama was a great POTUS. Sadly, not a chance. PB would have been spouting birther garbage had he been on LP back in that period. Not a 'real American'.
I do believe you are sincere on your views about Obama, pro and con.
MD with the Projection money shot of the day! "Birther"? lol. I've never wasted one second considering that issue. Here's my 1000 yard guess of what it even means based on what I idly read/heard: Obama was born in Kenya therefore not allowed to be an American President?
Well hate to break it to you MD, but I am likely far more liberal on this Americans-only-POTUS than most: my belief is if you're a citizen of America and have lived here legally for more than 20 years, you should be able to run for POTUS.
I guess that wouldn't make me much of a birther, would it?
Here's also where we differ: I think McCain would have been worse than George W (who is my absolute worst POTUS of all time) - his selection of Palin belies an awful ability to read character. Romney would have been no different than a center-left Democrat, which is not what I am seeking any longer in a POTUS. Biden is arguably more conservative than Romney.
How's the mind-reading going for you after that?
