Just a heads up: every Democratic mayor is blaming 'outsiders' for the violence in their cities. There must be like one small town in Iowa that is sending their combatants out to every major American city to do the dirty work! It's amazing, no one is actually from the cities that are burning!

My point of course is these Democrats are imbeciles, and they think their voters are even more imbecilic than they are. The arrest records show a true story, not some political hack and his media cousin repeating him.

These people do not like America. They do not like you. They do not like freedom. They do not like excellence. Remember that when you vote in November.

I'm sure this tragedy will cause teeth gnashing on this board today when the Dems wake up.

(Democrats don't care about this stuff; it's bad press is all; the goal is much more broad than 19 dead black people in Chicago...they want to control everything you do and ruin your culture).

By the way, if I had any advice for anyone out there, it would be to apply for a gun license immediately, and upon getting one, go train at a local firing range and be prepared to defend your family and your home. I suspect the fires will subside by then, but you best be prepared and not unprepared should Democrats continue to lay waste to America. Neighbors in liberal Bellevue Washington this weekend took matters into their own hands by organizing armed neighborhood watch groups, because (in their words) 'they did not trust the governor to protect them any longer'.

Has anyone thought that bad cops remain cops because the police unions protect them? I am for zero tolerance policing, but it has to go both ways.

St Paul's Mayor Carter said on TV this morning that we need reform in society to limit police union - this as a solution to the role they have in the problem of bad cops. However, he was not more specific. But, as everyone knows from reading my posts (including those right wingers who claim they ignore what I write), all we need do is to force police unions to pay damages so that they can be bankrupted and their lobbying power destroyed forever. Strange (no, not really) how right wingers fail to endorse this good idea.

- 10 arrests from rioting at protests Saturday night in the city (Buffalo), majority arrested were white men.
- Police intelligence recognized that instigators that were enticing some protesters to turn violent were not from WNY
- A person who was trying to organize the looting of the areas largest mall is also a person of interest in hate crimes at a suburban synagogue in Amherst during the last Chanukah.

On Sunday there were several civilian volunteers helping the city clean up.

Interesting - local news media repeatedly quote police and other pols who report that numerous caches of explosives have been found in abandoned cars (many of which do not have licenses or vehicle registration data), parking lots, and in city parks. This furthers the comments made by the pols who say the agitators causing much of the violence are not locals.

I see that you beat me to the punch - yes, indeed, we've had many such reports in the Twin Cities. This evidences the fact that trouble makers are organized, are not locals, and who quickly abandon a scene when the cops appears. This latter point significant because locals who are protesting preacefully do not run because they are not there to cause trouble but to exercise their 1st Amendment rights without violence that only distracts from their message.

I think unions protecting bad cops are a big part of the problem, but union leadership is voted in by the rank and file to the best of my knowledge so standing by and allowing bad cops to stay isn’t helping.

Some serious issues with management too. The George Floyd family is about to become wealthy because of bad policing. Policing that used the resources of four officers to turn a issue over $20 into a homicide, loss of billions and national unrest during a pandemic. The money being paid out to litigants is astronomical. I heard over $200,000,000 in NYC alone in 2018. $30,000,000 in the city of Long Beach, CA. There are figures like this all over the country. Insane.

That said, I don't envy the police. They have to deal with bad/misbehaving people much of the time and also are required to make split-second decisions that may involve life and death (both theirs and those they deal with). After a fashion, the stress likely does affect many and often that does not play out well.

like everything else, there is almost always a perfectly reasonable middle ground.
